When I was a little kid I had one of Roger Moore's James Bond movies on a VHS, A View To A Kill. I really liked that film and it also includes Christopher Walken, who is a fantastic actor. So when I heard that Roger Moore uses this Tissot PR-516 automatic watch in a couple of scenes in the movie Live and Let Die I had to get it! In the end of the project everything turned out very good, the watch runs well. The watch was probably dead because there was some dirt that had seized the gear train. Probably its been dead for a long time because I couldn't find much wear on the parts. Hope you enjoy my work, thank you for taking your time watching my movie!

I bought a watch from 1968 with an ETA 2551…it is very very small. I have disassembled it, cleaned it and reassembled it, it has been my most complicated movement, especially due to its size, and it has come back to life with surprising precision. I just hope one day to do what you do... thank you very much for your videos, they are spectacular and I learn a lot. Greetings from Spain.

Not sure how long Omega has done it, but I know for many James Bond movies, Omega releases a James Bond watch. There is a limited number, each in a special presentation box. I have the Omega released after the James Bone movie Spectre. The watch was a gift from my wife at my retirement. As we were making the purchase, a gentleman came in with the same watch as well as the Omega from the previous movie. He was interested in their value as he had purchased both overseas. Naturally, the Spectre model was worth around $6k but the older model according to the sales person had gone up quite a bit and would continue as each new Omega was released. It came down to number of watches available. Since owning the watch; I also own a Omega Orange face dive watch, I’ve used the occasion when my wife drags me to a jewelry store to ask about any of the James Bond edition Omega watches. I’ve yet to go into a store and have them tell me they had one or even sold one. They all say the numbers are limited and only certain stores get them.

Back when it was a treat to watch a James Bond movie. Although the greatest Bond was Shawn Connery, my favourite was Roger Moore perhaps because he was on the screen when I was coming of age in the late seventies and the glorious eighties. Anyone remembers Moonraker when he was spot with a digital Seiko?
@Watcheyes Жыл бұрын
Was it the Seiko with a TV or something? I dont remember =)
@Nickos1b Жыл бұрын
@@Watcheyes I looked it up and indeed he wore a digital Seiko in 1979 Moonraker. In the context of the movie it had some explosive capabilities. I remember it because I saw it in London that year and just before it started they played a commercial for that watch featuring Roger Moore. Searching further I see that he also wore the digital Seiko in an earlier Jame Bond movie: The Spy Who Loved me.
