Not even going to read all the haters' comments but growing up on the Gulf Coast, I find the knocking off of all that rust very relaxing and comforting. I remember one summer my Dad had me do the same to the mower deck on his Cub Cadet and it was so rewarding when I got it cleaned up. Loved this video.

@@steinbauge4591 when I saw the amount of rust on the tank I went to the finish and saw that tank and realised something was not right and went back and watched again, thought it a bit strange that the replacement tank was identical.

Better solution? For a tank designed for X pressure with Z thickness but having now a thickness up to 10% of Z? Between other things...

@@DiGiovanni1111 This is a safety concern. The last thing you want is for one of these things to explode with 110PSI in it. Replacing it was smart.

Well I thought that was an absolutely fantastic restoration. He saved what he could and replaced what was Unsalvageable. Obviously the main tank was all ways going to be replaced but it was fun watching how much rust had built up. Personally I thought the bit when he shoved the two wires in the live plug socket was hilarious. WELL DONE I THROUGHLY ENJOYED WATCHING THIS.

It's not because this is a air compressor and every piece of rust coming off is loosening the structural rigidity of the steel.

For all those asking why did he not restore the tank it is very simple,compressors work by building pressure inside the tank,having even partially rusted tank would make it a time bomb just waiting to explode.

That is, at least, a legitimately left-outside rusty piece of junk, unlike some of these kind of channels where they intentionally bury or muddy up something first

Oh come on, how had he should do that? I think it was fine how he made it. This Tank has to hold much Air Pressure, when it explodes its really Dangerous. You should not restore in such bad Conditions😐

Интересно какой "одаренный" довел инструмент до такого состояния? Автор молодец, нельзя такой инструмент выкидывать, никак нельзя. Переживал чтоб бочку не начал восстанавливать, когда выкинул - аж легче стало :D
