Restoration - Old handmade butter churn

@@AbdoTawdy Cream is the milk fats the rise to the top of fresh milk. It's a thicker and denser milk. You know how there is the different milks, Skim-1%-2%-Whole. "Cream" is the type called Whipping Cream at the store. It has more milk fats than drinking milk.

Jenomže pro takovou výrobu másla je potřeba i smetana bez stabilizátorů - a kde se dá taková dneska koupit? V supermarketu ne ... Pro takovou se musí k sedlákovi na vesnici, od ručně dojený stračeny, která se chodí pást na louku u lesa a ne k vyzáblý krávě uvázaný na řetěz v kravíně, krmený chemií a strojně vydojovaný do sucha ... What great work you did to restore that butter churn! I've never seen one that small, though; it must only make about 200 g of butter at a time. FYI, in English it's called a butter churn or just a churn; a buttercup is a kind of flower.

It is like a blockbuster movie to see the machines and the other restorations on your channel. But, this is more of an intimate kind of an "independent, human film," if you think about the person that conceived and made this for a wife, mother, or grandmother. If you think about the humble person taking the milk from their cow, or from an exchange with a neighbor, and made their own butter, perhaps to used right out of the jar, or to be molded in a personal favorite butter mold. One of those meditative chores one does to think or quiet their minds; never letting their hands be idol lest the devil slips in. Thank you for this video.

Very nice restoration. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the wooden paddle was. The only thing I would mention is that this is unsalted butter. If you want it salted you would knead in the salt after it is rinsed. Usually 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per 2 cups cream depending on how salty you want it. I love the butter molds. They are on my "someday" list.

Brought back many memories . Used one of these 65 years ago. We had a gallon jar and a little different paddle . after seperating the milk, we used the cream to male lots of homemade butter.Again, thank you for this video. Blessings and stay safe

Never saw those beautiful molds before. We just used cheese cloth to squeeze the buttermilk out of the butter and then wrapped the butter in wax paper.

from what I've heard crushed walnut shells are really good in a sand blaster. doesn't harm the metal but will take off rust and paint. learned that from pawn stars when Rick was having something restored.
