Restoration Old Rusty Butcher Cleaver

Hello folks! Today I have a new restoration of the cleaver-axe. The item has the classic shape of an axe with a hammer. I bought it at a flea market, the condition is below average, but I will restore it. We are starting the restoration.
Firstly, I removed the rest of the plastic handle and removed all the rust with the help of a sandblaster. It's very cool and fast.
Next, he polished the axe with an iron wire brush and began to restore the cutting edge. The edge of the axe and make new levels.
I sanded and polished the new ax bevels. The pads for the handle of the axe I made of wood, steel riveter. As usual, at the end of the video, I conducted an axe test. I hope you enjoy this restoration video. Thank you!

Обух служил для дробления костей и суставов

Так например крюком топора можно казан с ухой с костра снять, хороший крюк у него. А молотом забить в землю рогатины под казан. Можно поленом, но и их надо им вырубить. Так насечки для этого не нужны.

Excellent job, as always, we have not seen you restore cleavers for quite some time (that piece extracted from lump of clay was more likely a fragment of knife than a cleaver). Great to see you once again overcame your failure - restored handle looks like it was ment from the start to include two kinds of wood. That was a happy accident when you had to make the new piece to the end of the handle! I use a small axe similar to that one for roughing out wood for carving spoons! Nice weight and sharp! Gracias Amigo!

Привет, Алекс! Отличная рукоять получилась! Я в июне тоже на почти такой же кухонный топорик вместо старой сломанной пластмассовой рукояти делал деревянную. Сам топорик был в хорошем состоянии, только рукоять сломалась. И также была проблема при сверлении отверстия отверстия на конце рукояти, правда, появилась небольшая трещина, но не раскололась. Залил ПВА в трещину и заделал отверстие деревянным чопом на клей, зашкурил, вроде нормально получилось.

Another great transformation and as another viewer said the handle breaking kinfa paid off as it looks great, possible many small pilot holes next time instead of one big drill bit lol
