Those rotors, sprockets and cables were way to clean for the entire rest of the bike to be "old and rusty". The cables are the first things to rust. Such a joke and an embarrassment to the restoration community

Frame was rusty but the cables were not? How? Screws came off easily without applying too much pressure or using power tools, cable tube were not worn out. Restoration as its finest...

cables are usually made out of stainless steel. and tubes too. tube only runs out of lubricants

you know this is serious when the rubber grips on the handle bars and any non metal part has rust. you can truly tell how old that thing has been thrown away and how they suddenly found it with their amazing acting skills trying to find it where they last place it. truly a jaw dropping "restoration".

Классное видео! Но как человек с небольшими знаниями велосипеда было местами больно смотреть на работу) Надо было полностью разобрать раму ,рулевую и каретку. Втулки перебрать ,звёзды по-человечески снять. А по переключателям прям автор удивил ,перепутал их и в добавок протянул цепь так ,как будто велосипед впервые видит. Удачи и опыта в следующих работах!

Велосипед видимо в воде полежал не много. Как то легко все открутилось. И ржавчина какая то не давняя. И вращалось все легко,колеса,педали. Видимо постановка для видео.

Good effort, but you forgot to remove the fork, and the bottom bracket, those need to be greased, even the axles need to be cleaned and greased.

Judging by the design of the frame, that looks like a contemporary racing bike and a fairly pricey one too. I don't understand how it could be rusted up because practically no one uses steel anymore for road racers. It would be aluminum, carbon fiber or titanium. I don't even understand how anyone would throw such a nice bike into a landfill when it could be sold for a good price.

The thing is pricey as far as slices of moldy bread go, but not pricey for a bike. Look at the components. That's the cheapest derailleur you can get, the cheapest shifters you can get, the cheapest pranks that you can get. The cheapest frame you can make. It's probably from about 2010 and would have retailed for about $120 usd.

It has a modern stem, modern crankset, modern frame geometry and he's using an allen wrench to loosen modern bolts hahaha! When he pulled out the "rusty" seat post, it came out easily. The brake cables & shifter cables when pulled out, are clean. Meaning it's new. WRONG TITLE!!! It should be titled "Restoring an abandoned gravel bike".
