Don’t worry about the delay. The attention to detail shows. This is a complex mechanism. It’s really cool what you can build with just gears, sprockets, cams, wheels, tangs, springs, levers, and a bunch of screws. The design of these was state of the art back in its day. I wonder what a new one cost and how long it took to get a return on your investment. Thanks for filming and posting these!

This is not a restoration/ refurbishing for the faint of heart or for a weak mind. A component with subcomponents that have components with lots of pieces parts. The person/ people that designed that must have had indigestion from a late night pizza party and they couldn’t sleep all night and decided to build a puzzle. Really excellent restoration/ refurbishing work sir, enjoyed it, thank you.

Watching this makes me think of the enormous complexity of these machines. Someone had to sit at a drafting table and put the design to paper. I cannot imagine how long it would have taken back in the 1930s to design, engineer and build a machine like this. Amazing engineering. I also wonder if the designers could have envisioned that nearly 100 years later, someone would be restoring it.
