Excellent work. I have been a hobby woodworker for many years and had an opportunity to work several months for a friend who builds and refurbishes horse-drawn vehicles including wagons, carriages, sleighs and buggies, We rebuilt a pair of much larger cannon wheels from a US Civil War battle field. "Sweating" the iron tires on the wheels was quite an experience as each wheel weighed about 200 lb. Thanks for sharing your work.

Yay, my internet is back Online! When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be one of those old children's toys until I saw you standing next to it. It's always fascinating to see the early fabrication techniques, it gives you an appreciation for what they had to do to create such items. Veronika's explanations at the end are a nice addition, as some younger viewers may not know what everything was used for. As much of a fan of history that I am, I've seen items on your channel that I never knew existed. Thank you for that.

My father made a cannon, actually two; he was a tool and die maker. One was a mini cannon (that shot!) and I still have that. The other was a bigger cannon. He and my grandfather mounted it to a structure like the one in the video. After much alcohol later, they decided to test it. Safety in mind, they shot it towards a hill with a wooded area (no inhabitants but for birds and deer). They had a lot of fun shooting the cannon. Later, my grandmother found what they shot: her newly painted picnic table. Let's just say, both my grandfather and father got a chewing out.
