A few weeks ago, my local comic shop had a 1993 Megazord for 100. The box was pretty beat up and moldy, so I didn't have high hopes for it. Turns out, everything inside was brand new, with the sticker sheets unused, and the detachable peices (wings, tusks, ect) still with their plastic connectors. It had apparently belonged to a store employee who had gotten it as a gift as a kid but never played with it, so it sat in their attic. I was floored to get a new one for so cheap.

Huh, I didn’t know that the Zords from Zyuranger were sold separately in sets like that in Japan for a time. I know many subsequent Sentai did that (and still do) but seeing the original 1992 Zyuranger mecha sold individually in individual packaging is something I wasn’t expecting!

Always cool to see what kinds of things people use to restore older toys. I hope they do one for the SOC Megazord, because for some reason the chrome/diecast on that gets really dull after a while. I hear it's a pretty common issue, but I haven't been able to find a solution online.

Personally, I think if there is an old toy that has remained sealed in the box for decades, let it stay that way. At that point, it becomes a relic and should be preserved.

Good thing to know, even if a seller says "No Refunds", the seller would still be required to refund you if the item was broken or didn't match the description. "No Refunds" really only applies to. "I don't like this" and situations like that.

Yes I definitely agree that buying missing pieces can be extremely difficult and expensive and more often than not ends up costing more. It makes much more sense to buy a complete item in the first place unless you really enjoy completing Megazords regardless of cost.

What about a "mini" series where you pick a megazord or other random item/subline from the collection and go over what makes it "complete", talking about easily lost/broken parts for people just getting into pr/sentai collecting. For example, i never knew about the part that lets titanus pull the tank mode so either it was a sentai only piece or only with the first release cause my childhood titanus was the second release from the ninja/shogun zord era.

Another awesome video!! I do love a good toy cleaning. I don't know why but it feel calming when I do it. I did a full restauration on my original MMPR Megazord a longtime ago, even bought those reprolabels stickers. But when the legacy megazord came out I put the original in a box and that's it. Do you personally prefer to display the original toy or the better looking "newer" version of a toy?? Like ZAP Astro Megazord, did it replace the original?

I don't get how one loses the tricera horns but I guess 90's kids were just rough with the zords. I've had to repaint up my abaranger/dino thunder zords. Used a gundam set of markers and the paint matched the original's in most cases. Even helped to improve my PR mezodon rover some since Bandai took out most of the paint and getting the sentai version is harder.

With the amount of time my toys spent in the bath, im pretty convinced 90s era stickers are damn near indestructible. A little under the tap isnt gonna do much. The metal screws are a different story.

I'd say as long as you dry things quickly, probably okay. My 93 - 03 collection was in the basement of my dad's office in NJ when I was living in CA when one hurricane or another flooded that basement. By the time I made it back to NJ, mold was growing under a lot of the stickers and boxes. Probably would have been fine had I been there at the time. It was a while later that I finally made the trip back. 😕

Good movie! I have seen the show in the early '90's as a kid, but never got the chance to get the toys. By the time i got a zord it was from season 2 allready. But now i have bought all of them, i bought Dragonzord and Megazord as seccondhand broken zords and made them as good as new, with new accurate stickers. Also i got lucky with a brand new old stock Titanus who was really cheap. Season 2 i had the Thunder Megazord, so that one i re stickered with accurate stickers, i bought a broken Tigerzord and Thor, and made them both also as good as new with accurate stickers and complete with all parts on them again. Even Thor's horn.

Got myself a DX Daizyujin not too long ago, comes with a box and all the parts, and even as a bonus it came with the gold King Brachion chains. But the downside the stickers were peeling or faded, so I managed to get the original sticker sheets to help restore it

That'll probably vary depending on where you are, but I have always paid the price I see in the auction, never any additional fees. I've always been in the US, shipping to NJ, CA, and now PA. If I was paying additional fees or anything funny like that, I most certainly would have talked about that in the video. But, I don't know what the deal is for people outside of the US.

So I bought a fully complete Zeo Megazord but I forgot to ask if it was in a smoke free house… Turns out it wasn’t… I got the majority of the nicotine residue off, but there is still a little tinge in some areas. I was wondering if there was a solution to brighten up the zords from discoloration

Oh man... I got a set of vinyl Galactabeasts ages ago. I never thought much of the "from a pet/smoke free home thing" until I opened that box. THE SMELL WAS SO STRONG I COULD SEE IT! I don't remember how long it took for the smell to go away, but it was a long time, and I sprayed everything I had in the house on them and they had many baths. The color was okay at least, so, I don't know what's involved in removing the stains, but I've got a lot of cleaning videos on this channel that have gone over everything I'm currently doing. If none of that works I'd probably look up something on KZbin about removing nicotine stains from plastic. I'm cleaning things that can be wiped away, vs chemical reaction changes to plastic. Same deal with sun damage, my fix for that would be to repaint. I never had any luck with whitening yellowed plastic, even though I've seen other people do it.

Recently picked up a group of vintage toys at an auction and among them was what Google lens identified as a: 1999 Bandai Power Rangers Deluxe Lost Galaxy Megazord. It’s the one with the gold spikes on his head. I saw it has a switch on the back of the body, so it made me think battery, but I don’t see a battery compartment. What does the battery operate? Lights and sounds? Yours was one of the few recent videos on Megazord restoration so thought I’d ask about how to get to the battery to check/change it. Don’t want to break it by just starting to take out screws.

What do I need anything for? It's MMPRtoys, I'll always find a use for the various basement things that have accumulated. Honestly not sure where this specific one came from. Those are some nice looking mega zords even the Japanese counterpart and the difference between Dragon Caesar and Dragonzord is if I remember correctly ours wasn’t electronic like Dragon Caesar I would be happy finding a Japanese green ranger power coin cause we never got one in America until the legacy edition morpher

Might be a weird question, but have you ever experienced mold inside the plastic? I just reopened my Gokai Silver with Gold Armor figure and parts of the armor have what look like white dust or spores. I cleaned them off with water, but a few minutes later they showed again.
