Maggie to the rescue @maggietotherescue I've recently begun rescuing American girl dolls and I use water color paint in the exact way you use the lipstick, rubbing with fingers. Turns out beautifully

You can also blush vinyl dolls with Chalk pastels, just grate or scrape into a dust and apply with a brush just like human blush.

I bought a Shirley Temple doll at a yard sale. I wasn’t going to get her but I was convinced I heard my dead mother in my mind say get her. Most of her curls are in tact but they do need work so thanks for your video it will help me restore her curls.

You are a magician! I may need a real magician for my latest cabbage patch doll find. Someone has teased each ponytail and hairspray Galore. They look like Brillo pads. .. I’m going to wash her hair in downtown diluted as you have done with Shirley temple. I love how she turned out! Wow! I will take some before and after pics.. I’m hopeful, and trying to be optimistic! Lol. I’m not sure .. but it certainly can’t hurt!

You did a great job! I have a 36 inch Ideal Shirley Temple from 1960 that has extremely matted hair but luckily it's all there.I'm trying to decide if I'm brave enough to tackle it or try to find someone who knows how to do this kind of restoration. I'm afriad that I may do more harm than good.

Wow, a 36"! f you have a day or two to make it a project, I say give it a shot! You could try a test spot first on the back of her head. If that doesn't go well, then maybe pass her on to a professional. Hope it goes well!! 💕

Perm rollers might be even better. Depending on the size of the doll cause they can create a smaller, tighter curl. Good luck! 💕

My items like that are from years of hunting in thrift stores, doll shows, and estate sales. But you can find great doll shoes and socks on Ebay, Etsy, or at any doll supply company like dollspart.com! Good luck! 💕

Depending on the size of the doll, the larger ones might be great. But you might want to try a test curl or two just to make sure. Good luck!!

Yes! If I had perm rollers, I would have used them for a tighter curl. 💕

Once again you are treating the fibers like hair. If you would use really Hot water on the fibers it would have relaxed them so you would have been able to manipulate them back to their original shape.
