If this doesn't work for you, I have the solution!! Click on troubleshoot, but then click on Recovery Manager. This option will allow u to reset your computer. Every other option did NOT work for me, I was so frustrated. The recovery option takes many hours to complete, but so worth it. It gives u the option to back up ur files first. I didn't have a USB stick so I used a couple cds instead. Just follow the prompts. My computer is like brand new now. I'm so happy!!!

Navigate to Settings. You can get there by clicking the gear icon on the Start menu.  Select "Update & security"  Click Recovery in the left pane.  Windows presents you with three major options: Reset this PC, Go back to an earlier build and Advanced startup. Reset this PC is the best option for starting fresh. Advanced startup lets you boot off a recovery USB drive or disc and "Go to an earlier build" is made for Windows Insiders who want to roll back to a previous version of the OS.  Click Get started under Reset this PC.  Click either "Keep my files" or "Remove everything," depending on whether you want to keep your data files intact. Either way, all of your settings will return to their defaults and apps will be uninstalled.  Select "Just remove my files" or "Remove files and clean the drive" if you chose to "remove everything" in the prior step. Cleaning the drive takes a lot longer but will make sure that, if you are giving the computer away, the next person will have a hard time recovering your erased files. If you are keeping the computer, choose "Just remove my files."  Click Next if Windows warns you that you won't be able to roll back to a prior version of the OS.  Click Reset when prompted.  Windows will then restart and take several minutes to reset itself. Click Continue when prompted.

Every time I try to turn of my PC it take me to a screen that says "Pick keyboard layout" I pick US then go says "Choose an option" I tried every advanced setting and look up videos to see if it was possible to hard reset but I couldn't find any so then I click Continue afterwards my PC turn off then back on to the HP screen then takes me right back to "Pick keyboard layout" do you know anything about that or Windows Rollback? Also It doesn't give me the "reset this computer" option

There is alot of ways to factory reset your pc the first is if you don't know your password or forget you can factory reset it by on screen keyboard move the mouse to shift it will show two glow buttons then go to your power settings then hit restart it will show a blue screen with some options then hit troubleshoot then you'll see reset this pc then select all drivers

Click the ease of access button and bring up the onscreen key board. Enable the shift key then turn it off and it should take you to the blue screen he was talking about. I'm not totally sure if it will work on that computer tho
