Thanks so much for posting this demonstration. I saw this reset option listed on some websites, tried it for the 8-10 seconds it suggests and nothing happened. I watched your demo and held it for a bit longer and voila!

I had this issue for a while. And had actually tried this procedure several times and it didnt work. And had given up on it. After seeing this video, decided to try again. It didnt work the first few times. Then got tired and switched hands and no sht, it worked first try. I think i saw it on this comment sections, but do this with only one hand, not 2. My refrigerator had been blinking for over a year. My husband and I look on the internet to try to figure out how to fix the problem. Mine hadn’t stopped making ice, it just wouldn’t switch between ice and water dispensing. One think I noticed since I made this video is that you do have to push right on the letters, not below them

On the front of the panel what is the far right button that looks like a plug mean it’s just lit

On mine it is the Energy Saver indicator. If you tap the upper right button, that light goes off.

My experience is that this does NOT work if you use both hands (one finger on each hand pressing). ONLY WORKS (for me) IF YOU PRESS USING FINGERS FROM THE SAME HAND. Then, it resets quickly.

I hope you still check this. When you fridge goes into this mode, does it stop cooling?? Mine stopped cooling and defrosted completely. I have done the reset you suggested, and my fridge beeped at me for 10 seconds, just solid beeping. And then the lights started scrolling top to bottom still not cooling. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We actually had that problem too just a month ago. For us, the problem was an ice build up in the freezer that then stopped the door that opens and closes between the freezer and refrigerator. I will tell you Samsung repair was a total pain to work with. I finally found a local repair person who is certified by Samsung to do the repair.

Actually, this flashing (right side, 5th up) is the error code meaning the refrigerator circulation fan needs attention. Each time power is restored it runs a self check, thus flashes again. Likely it is iced up. Most common reason they ice up - a bad refrigerator defrost temperature sensor. They are easy to replace for about $10 parts. There are many youtube videos how to do this. Good luck.

I have replaced that sensor, and it was still freezing up behind back inside panel and fan until I bought larger Whirlpool sensor and raised refrigerator temp 2 degrees.
