If alien life exists- we presently don’t know if aliens exist given the vast distances within the Universe. Otherwise, on judgement day, our lives will be judged by our actions and our faith to God. Nicely done.

Information like this is why evidence is ESSENTIAL. Looking at conclusions as logically coming from true premises is very important. Courts are THEORETICALLY the best in this regard, but historians and honest scholars are as well. If you want to guarantee that a book will not be considered seriously or a research paper will not be published make sure to include ZERO sources. There ought to be a law requiring sources. Sources can be used to discover dishonest scholarship. With regards to natural scientific research RAW DATA is essential.

Please note, holographic projection, of moving objects, nowadays is perfectly doable. That alone explains many UFOs (now they use another acronym). It also sends into the proverbial trash the very idea of alien lifeforms.

But in the Baltimore catechism that I read with our children, it does state that it is possible that there are aliens in other parts of the universe… That all is possible under God. And couldn’t that be referenced in Genesis under “the heavens?”

Ask your husband (with love) to provide conclusive scientific evidence of the assumption that evolution and Big Bang Theory depends upon. The assumption is that from the moment the universe comes into existence, there is uniform and uninterrupted natural law at work, and zero supernatural intervention. If he believes that God exists, he will not be able to prove that assumption with scientific evidence, because it doesn't exist. All scientists take this assumption to be true completely on faith. We believe in a God who intervenes in this universe, so without scientific evidence to prove that assumption, why is he refusing to accept God's word and the tradition of the Church?

Popes John Paul II and Pius XII believed in evolution. Pope Leo XIII also wrote on Genesis that “The sacred writers … did not intend to teach mankind these things, that is to say, the essential nature of the things of the visible universe … Hence they did not seek to penetrate the secrets of nature, but rather described and dealt with things in more or less figurative language or in terms that were commonly used at the time”. The big bang theory was also originally suggested by a Catholic priest. Does this guy think he knows better than previous popes?

Pius X stated that the fundamental principle of modernism (the synthesis of all heresy) is evolution. The Church Fathers condemned the idea that everything in Creation is held in potentiality. Just because the Big Bang THEORY was posited by a Catholic priest does not make it true nor immune from scrutiny. The Church Fathers unanimously held to the historicity of the Genesis accounts. St. Augustine said Genesis should be read like the historical books (Kings, etc.). The evolutionary principle is metaphysically impossible.
