I had an experience of demonic attacks after I began to look into Catholicism and stopped habitual mortal sins, ghost hunting, and ghost talking radio apps. It was awful. I saw an exorcist for healing, and that night, the nightmares stopped, I had the best sleep of my life, and the voice in my head tempting me to sin and trying to coerce me to evil acts was gone! Someone working with me said that I was probably experiencing oppression, and that I was fortunate, with all I did, I didn’t get possessed. I entered the Catholic Church fully this March (March 30, 2024). Praise the Lord, for His power and glory are truly unmatched! Thanks be to God!

@@melissap9416 A mortal sin is when you commit a sin of grave matter . Violating any one of the Ten Commandments is considered a mortal sin.
@myrnagrijalva30423 ай бұрын
@@melissap9416 , According to Catholic Theology mortal sin : must meet 3 conditions a) grave matter b) full knowledge c) full consent . Grave matter goes hand to hand against the Ten Commandments. A person who has not been evangelized , even if in living in a " Christian" nation. Amazonian tribes, would definitely WILL NOT BE HELD NOWHERE NEAR ANY OF US CATHOLICS. Even greater degree of accountability than Protestants , except those who apostatize from the One TRUE Church. With this in mind, full knowledge is clearly understood as the second condition for mortal sin. Lastly, full consent: you are forced, you are suffering from mental illness, you are under demonic oppression, possession. You are trying to survive or protect yourself or your loved ones.. I learned this late in my life. I'm a cradle Catholic.. dead for many years.. This concept is extremely important when you are going through the examination of conscience before Confession. Likewise, grave matter must be approached with certain " intentionality" I don't like the word, but in this case, it serves it's purpose. Say you steal 50.00 from a person on SSI, food stamps, and living only from government assistance, compared with 50.00 you steal from a person receiving say a steady paycheck, who happens to be married and living in a monthly two-pay check arrangement. The same 50.00 are exactly the same amount, but your intentionality is making a difference. You have to be extremely cold and cruel to steal from a person who might go hungry or not be able to afford a bus pass after the theft. The 💔Commandments..kill , idolatry those are non negotiable..

best advice is to read the Bible for yourself. The word of God does not tell you to go to a priest to confess to. Right where you are, God hears you! Confess to God directly through the name of Jesus who died so that you may have life and the Spirit can come to you. No man in robes can forgive you. Keep looking for a church of believers that has the spirit of god there. Stay away from religions.

I came to the Church after encountering demonic presences in my mother-in-law’s home (deep dark man-shaped shadowy beings, disembodied voices, doors that opened and closed themselves, heavy footsteps with nothing there, unseen hands trying to push people down the stairs, and a vivid very lucid dream of demons trying to talk to me). Shortly after reading a book about exorcism by Fr. Malachi Martin and learning that Catholic exorcists have the authority to remove demons, I converted. This was despite having been previously very critical of the Church. My experiences in that house convinced very rapidly convinced me that the Church was right and that I belonged there.

@SilverSnifferАй бұрын
@ It’s not blasphemy, so no need to worry about that. God gave us free will so we could choose to love & follow Him! He does not want a bunch of non thinking zombies loving him, their love would mean nothing. Allowing us to live in this imperfect world, where we are bombarded with distractions & evil, is a true test of our love for God. He allows Satan to test us with worldly evils that take all of our time & attention away from the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. We have that choice to give our attention to the world, which will lead us away from God, & sadly most people choose. Or, we can choose to glorify God by following His commandments & glorifying Him in everything that we do! Anything that takes our attention away from God is a bad choice. It’s not an easy life, but it promises us that the next life will be so good that it is well beyond our current abilities to understand! Our difficulties lie in our current worldly incarnation. Check out Mathew 7:13/14 13 * “Enter through the narrow gate;* for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.j 14 How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few. I hope this helps you, temptations are every where. Just do your best in focusing your life on Jesus! He understands what we are going through & if you are a true follower of Christ, His mercy & love for us is unending! May God Bless you & your family!

I'm Lutheran, and I really appreciate the father's comments here. I look forward to the day when we are all united again on earth as we are in Christ, because our enemy isn't losing graciously. I had Christmas dinner with my pastor, and he told some stories about some of his encounters with the demonic. In one instance, a family was encountering a demonic entity that contained their house and especially a particular room. The demon also caused them unexplained cuts and scratches. My pastor met with them, learned that they weren't baptized, and then arranged the baptism of the entire family. After that, he worked with them to choose a time to cleanse the house. He said the cleansing was fairly uneventful, though when he cleansed the particular room, the family's dogs downstairs got very agitated and began barking and growling loudly. When he was finished, the dogs seemed timid like they had seen something scary. The family has been regularly attending services since and has had no further encounters. Certainly not as extreme as a levitation or green eyes with slanted pupils, but a very real experience with spiritual evil. I used to be more skeptical about these experiences, but over the past ten years or so the reality of demonic evil has become clear to me given what I've read and heard. Makes me thankful for a relationship with Christ and my brothers and sisters in Him, and hope for all of these lost souls to find Christ again. Excellent episode!

During the night, (before the next day came) an owl landed on the window sill of my parents bedroom and hooted. A threat from the demonic I'm sure, but Jesus is the Victor! @@mrsinkzn hi. The Catholic church is full of demons as iI a sure you are aware yet have exorcists most times as far as I am aware those that ask them are mostly Catholics I think it's a tool satan uses to get people to go to the catholic church. For help if they are not already Catholics. Satan is a master worker for sure and will of course use scriptures to his advantage. He used scripture against Jesus himself who in return answered him back with scripture. Also there is only one holy father and he is in heaven

@@AleInBywater Since Mary is a lowly creature, it is humiliating to demons (fallen angels) that God raised her to the dignity to be Mother of His Son, Jesus, who defeats the kingdom of Satan. In my sophomore year of college, I played with a Ouji board with a friend. Among other things, it "spoke" a German word, "Keister". My premarital sex and later drugs took off after that. I often wonder if in that moment I opened a door to the demonic that day. I pray to Jesus to forgive me and to cast out any demonic force that I may have invited in. Prayers.
@dietlindvonhohenwald4484 ай бұрын
Ouija boards are portals and the use of them are direct invitations to demons to come into the life of the person using them. Once they have come through it’s almost impossible to get rid of.

Same story with me.
@joycohen9383 ай бұрын
It’s very possible that a doorway of some kind was opened. Playing with oujia board is willingly entering into communication with spirits … effectively demons. The fact that the sin of pre- marital sex (fornication) in the Bible and drug use is further opening to the demonic realm. I would encourage you to seek a full relationship with Jesus Christ. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God - that we need Christ’s blood to cover over our sins to atone for our deserved punishment. However some actions snd sins (sexual sin is sin against our own body) can open us up to demonic oppression or influence. Get right with God. Seek Him. Follow Jesus. Seek deliverance. Bless you

I wanted to add a comment about one of the questions that was asked about chiropractic. I’m a chiropractor and there is nothing inherently evil about the profession. Chiropractors are people and people involve themselves into a lot of different beliefs and practices and that could be said of people in any profession. So Fr. Lampert is right that we basically shouldn’t judge the lot by a few. The word Chiropractic is Greek which means “done by hand”. To me a healing art done by laying on of hands can be appreciated in light of my Catholic faith. I ask God to anoint my hands every day and he has blessed me to be a part of helping people through this art. It’s quite common for me to have to defend my profession and my faith. Both are often judged through misinformation and misconception. I love Fr. Lampert and Matt keep up the good work.

That part where Fr. Lampert was talking about the person who had schizophrenia and how he was disappointed when he found out he wasn't actually possessed really saddened me because I know that there really are people who are mentally ill who feel the same way as this man did. My kid sister's best friend has dissociative identity disorder, a mental illness that is often mistaken for possession before a proper diagnosis can be made, and her friend says that there are countless members of the DID community who say "it would be easier to be possessed than to live with this disease." Because demonic possession can be cured if the individual consents to an exorcism, but DID can't be cured no matter how much you wanna get rid of it 😔 As always, fantastic interview, Fr. Lampert! I'm from the diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana, so very close by, and I always love watching these interviews and hearing your insights. I'd love to see a round table with Fr Lambert, Fr Ripperberger and Fr Carlos Martins. If any podcast could, it'd be yours.

Father Lampert, Father Ripperger and the other priests. These are living angels, seek their guidance as they are blessed by God. They speak only truth and their faith is their greatest strength.

I love the exorcists. They’re so intelligent, courageous, straightforward yet calm, humble and holy all at the same time.
