My oldest brother Wayne Allums owned a 1959 Cushman . I was only 6 years old then . I loved it when he would take me for a ride. His next bike was a 1963 305 honda dream . Unfortunately he was killed in a Chinook crash May 6 of 1969 in Vietnam. I really appreciate you guys that are restoring these old Cushman’s. They’re really cool little bikes . W😎W absolutely amazing Cushman Silver Egeal edition, , I owned a 1958 , but not that edition , there's a bleeder valve at the bottom of the gas bowl ( pet cock ) you open it a quarter of a turn to let the air out of the gas line , and that will fill the bowl, mine had the chrome dual exhaust , And They sounded the same, all cunkity clunk clunk, 🇺🇸♥️🇺🇸 ♦️♦️♦️ Posting in Honorable and loving memories of Freddy and Betty ♥️ Richards / Chicagoland cycles

Back in the late sixties I bought one of these for $10 it didn't run it had a crack flywheel turn on solar to somebody else for 20 could not find a flywheel for it
