This has to be one of the finest Steinway D's I have ever heard. Often New York Steinway D's are not well prepped or are in poor condition leading to poor sound. Not this one. This one is well prepped and wonderfully restored. Someday I hope to own one. Great playing as well by Derek.

and yet I feel the recording don't do their pianos justice. I love stopping by the showroom to play everything. Pianoworks is one of the few stores I have visited that preps and tunes each piano.

It sounds great but l thought the diskant esp. progressing to the top hand was missing that special something- to soft / weak definitely last octave section. ( am a time served in Germany piano tuner/ tech/ voicer)

As i know this is the best sound that I've heard. pianoworksatlanta have many great restored pianos, especially the petrov one, that sound was harsh but they have made it beautifully warm, soft sound like a concert grand.
