Nice sled. 72' by the way. Had several old Ski-doo's, best days as a kid.

71 by the way. I owned a 71. In 72, the hood shape was different and the paint scheme was different.

@@danjdavid I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I said a 72'. I feel really stupid for saying that. My apologies. Thank you.

I remember seeing the TNT Ski-Doo’s, but had no clue how much of a race machine it was! Man,I’m learning a lot from these videos! I wish I could have a machine like this one! Unbelievable! 📕

My Father had one. Left pocket full of new plugs by the end of the ride the right pocket was full fouled ones. He used to bake them in the oven to try and salvage some, pissed my mom off somethin fierce. Scary stupid fast.

They really weren't that fast. 30 MPH seemed fast on those rickety old machines. I remember guys saying they had 292 singles that would do 70 MPH when in reality maybe 40-45 on a good day.

My dad bought that same model T’NT as a 1971. The Blizzard was the all-out free air racing model.

There was a small snowmobile made that used the Mcculloch100cc kart engine, do you know what the manufacturers name was?

Hello nice video. It was cut a little short though. Wish it was longer and could hear the engine run. Would've been real nice. I had a 440 Silver Bullet engine on a 225 Silver Bullet Chassis growing up as a kid. She would do about 70mph. What was the top speed on those 775 dual carburetor set up sleds? Anyone know?
@bultacowally2 жыл бұрын
Had a 399 TNT of that vintage and a 340 Silver Bullet. Impressive speed wise but those old Ski Doos did not turn. Never understood their popularity. The very last sled I bought was a Polaris Colt SS 340. I raced a guy that had one of these TNT 775's. Killed him out of the hole for half the distance then the old 775 got wound out and he flew by me. Ahh those were the days. So many people out and about on snowmobiles of every make, size, and color on a Sunday afternoon. Now a days I am hard pressed to see or even hear a snowmobile nearby on a winters day. The new sleds do not interest me in the least...strictly a motorcycle guy now.

It seems like gas tank might spill onto the engine if you hit a tree.
