I had a 634 Puma. Raced it for a while. Won a bunch of race’s. Also had a 440Z. Won everything on that sled.

Loren Machart made me a set of pipes for my 72 EXT 440 triple. He did an incredible job. This 71 is very rare.

Ohhh my goodness. That’s beautiful. We used to call them Turf Tigers. They won a bunch of drag raced.

I see it doesn’t have a crossover shaft. They must’ve made those in later models.

The Turf Tiger was a grass drag sled. Solid rubber track that ran some kind of alcohol. Carlson Discount Sports from Eau Claire Wi let us race one for a summer. Skis barely touched the ground 1/8 mile.

@@JohnCinko 100% John. They are built to go straight. I had to race against a few of them.

The most popular Lynx in my area was the Lynx with the 292 Kawasaki engine, they were light and pretty fast.

Still have two of them. Love those old KT-150B 292 motors. The Tilitsons have to be tuned right with the right pop off lbs pressure springs to run right off the crankcase vacuum for the diaphrams to work right. Took me and my brother almost 20 years to figure it out between '84 and 2003.

Nice ext! The 1971 puma with the 440 fan cooled Z kawasaki just as fast if not faster! They are more rare than this sled!!

beautiful machine, but not even firing this after a total rebuild is a waste! It needs to be heard (and ran!)

i agree . how do they know it runs after it was rebuild

I agree. However if he did he would have to drain the gas out of everything. We all know what old gas does to engine’s. It’s probably more like a knickknack. Lol
