You guys have built the most awesome business and make the best videos. I’m hoping to make the dream come true of having you restore my dad’s 72 FJ40 and resto-mod my 79 FJ40.

Another great build, wish I had the resources to let you rebuild my 82, may be some day. BTW that baby is getting so big. Train him well and he can be the upholstery guy you need.

Beautiful work. I love the front seats and brown leather in that first 40. Are those stock 40 seats? Love to know where you found that leather. Incredible attention to detail. Nice work!

You guys do a wonderful job 👍🏼 I’m truly envious of your builds. Hopefully someday soon a Proffitt build is I’m my budget!

I've been enjoying your content on these cool trucks for well over a year now. My first experience four wheelin' was in a Toyota Landcruiser. My friend and I got to sit in the back inward facing seats and ride to the top of the highest peak in Pocatello Idaho where a fire watch lookout structure was located. This was around 1978 or 9. We were kids who got the thrill of a lifetime and I think gave the guys a good chuckle when they saw our saucer-shaped bug-eyed looks over some of spots where two opposing wheels were of the ground!

What is the best petrol engine to use for an 68 FJ40?? Does Cummins do petrol - also best for fuel economy at over $10 per gallon, I’m looking for that to be a consideration. I see 1FZ may be good? Thanks
@procruiser3 жыл бұрын
Hi James, That's a tough question. Honestly, it's hard for us to steer away from Toyota unless the client is just instant about it...but if you want economy, Toyota straight 6s aren't always the best choice. Unfortunately Cummins only makes diesel engines. My suggestion is a 2F or a 1FZ and stay light on the throttle!

Hi Hussein. We were in KSA in November for the Global Auto Salon and Riyadh Season. Love your country. To answer your question, there is a wide range depending on options, but most of our stage 3, body off 60 series restorations run from $100,000 -$170,000 USD

Love the videos but the old the FJ40s have lost value in the past five years.
