@@ShannonSouthAfrica I only assume so based on the fact that they look like realistic wrecks and nothing like typical broken or neglected toys a child would leave behind. Rust and patina for sure and maybe a bent wheel or two and a flattened cab. But these cars look more like real car collision damage, the dirt is too random and the separations never damage non reparable components. It's not a bad thing, it's clever and makes good content. I'm sure the first were natural restorations.

An excellent restoration! Wonderful how you treated all parts separately. The paint job is also excellent. Deliberately destroyed? Possibly, but what do you think happens when a playing child is angry, and does it throw it off by force? What I see here looks a lot like that.

@@taylorebenguard6998 Dumb? Maybe, but live has taught me that very often things are not what we think or seem to be. These models are cast, right? I know from experience what children can cause, especially when they are angry. Even if it's not a toy, they can still throw it, even it's not their own, especially. That's, if you are not sure how things stand, it's unwise to say anything with certainty.

I agree, it looked faked to me. No way the clear plastic parts could look that good when the rest of the toy was that beat up. Also the chrome "restoration" could not look that good with an airbrushed paint, when made they would have used a vacuum deposition process to metal plate the plastic to look like chrome and clearly the finished restoration also had parts that were factory processed the same way. The only hobbyist finish that can look remotely like that would something you apply and buff (not airbrush) but even those finishes look more like dull aluminum than chrome.

Nice. But i just looked up online on how to fix die cast metal. Using a pin is good but they sujets using tin solder to fill the holes. But i guess Bondo will do.

What brand is this model? I want one. Also, you do better paint jobs than i do. The smoothest paint job i ever did was flat black on a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda model.
