I just love these episodes! I know you wish you could hurry the restoration along but I'd be happy watching it unfold for months. Just seeing things uncovered, discovered & literally unearthed is so exciting. And I still picture 17th century people in their finest clothes strolling through the gardens. My Dad (who passed away in 2017) would have gotten the biggest kick out of your RC lawn mower. He flew model airplanes since before I was born (67, nearly 68 years ago)! In order to create a level field for the model planes to take off and land, he made arrangements with the local farmer to leave an acre of land unplowed. Dad drove a stake into the middle of it and tied a standard, gas-powered lawn mower to it, then let it run in circles, getting closer and closer to the stake as it wound up the rope! He was quite a guy, and I miss him dearly.

I can't think of anything quintessentially more English garden than old red brick covered with the deep green of ivy. It's nice to see someone taking genuine care of such a place and restoring it back to its former self. Not always formal and perfect, a bit ramshackle in places, but alive with character. Keep up the good work!

Hey, Martin. I like you remote control mower. How many days did it take you to do all of this work? 😊

Aren’t you afraid of snakes in all brush and grass?
@martinthegardenguy2 ай бұрын
Only grass snakes and adders in the UK. Grass snakes aren't poisonous, and adders wouldn't do much damage to a fella my size 😁 that's if they could get through my trousers. On the contrary, I'd class myself as being amazingly lucky if I bumped into one or the other. I don't see Grass snakes very often.

Haha 😂 I know, I'm like a child a Christmas. At least I know I'm not too old to enjoy playing 😁

You're going to need a tin hat for the next time you see your Mother in Law. 😂 Great job as always.

Haha, I normally do anyway when I see her. I've a big mouth and a terrible sense of humor, so I get clipped around the ear quite a bit anyway 😅😂

It gives me an itch because you haven't edge the pathway and make it straight haha...😆 Question: 32:50 are those fruit edible?
@martinthegardenguyАй бұрын
It'll be getting edged properly at some point, don't worry 😅 And yes, the fruits are plums. Edible, or at least when they are ripe, they would be 👍 Bad timing, really, because my kids would have eaten the lot! 😊
