This is so INSANE. I had some of these as a child. I had the regular Serena doll, Super Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mini Moon, and Saturn. I only ever saw them at flea markets which my parents frequented, and they'd get me a doll occasionally. I loved them so much, I always thought they were so much prettier than my barbie dolls.

with the tiaraI found that a pin (for pinning fabric together) and gluing it to the tiara and then shortening it by clipping it, helps keep it in place :)

I should probably sort out tidying mine up. I only ever removed Sailor Moon's boots once, struggled for my life to get them back on, and vowed never to do that again 🤣🤣 Mine have all their accessories still, and it's mostly just a bit of fading/grub?🤣 from age. And I replaced the rubber bands in their hair at some point with thread (I don't remember doing that, but glad I did of Sailor Moon wouldn't have her hair gems anymore) And I could never manage to get them to stand up on those awful stands. So swapped to them out for China doll stands instead. I can't believe they're 20 odd years old 🤯🤯 I swear I just rapidly aged 🤣😭😅

There are not variants of Venus' bow color (i think), The color on the bow's faded over time i believe as ive seen a listing of Super sailor moon have non-faded skirt that matched the blue sailor collar thingy (i forgot what they are called)

I question how come Magical Girl dolls (Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure) looks so much that Licca doll (the older ones) series, can't they mimic it in dolls head like they can in there action figures. And most of the time the eyes looks off, and I know they can make it accurate as much as Nendoroid. And I know the clothes aren't detailed, because it's catered to young girls and boys, and mostly for play.

I loved my Sailor Moon dolls, I still have them. They are in pretty good condition, minus some stuff like one of Dark Lady's earrings being broken off, one of Pluto's legs won't bend anymore, and the gold beads on Princess Serenity are very loose. Also I had to replace a lot of the rubber bands that held hair accessories as the rubber ends broke with age but those were easy fixes. I was surprised to see your Venus doll was able to raise her arms to the level of her shoulders. She was the only doll I had that could only move her arms back and forth, so maybe my Venus had different arms put in during assembly? Also kudos for having a Sailor Saturn doll as that was the only doll I never had since I don't think they sold her in the US. I could go to EBay for her but maybe another time.

It's funny but I didn't realize until you mentioned it that my Sailor Moon doll can only raise her arms up and not put them out to the side. She's the only one of my Irwin's that can't.

@@TamasRoom Maybe it's a production error because my Sailor Moon doll can raise her arms to the side while Venus can't and for you it's the opposite. I did look at the shoulders on both dolls and you can tell the difference. Maybe we just have unique dolls.

for the tricky hair getting everywhere, one doll tuber uses diluted hair gell, another recommends a bit of skin moisturizer combed through with fingers, which worked for me when i restored my childhood doll c:

Another helpful tip to remove paint marks use some IPA but be careful because it will remove everything that's what I use when I restore my Power ranger action figures in junk

Please dont use acne cream to remove stubborn spots on vinyl! It might look awesome right after its done but theres been lots of reports of the plastic getting discolored with time. Retrobrighting is a better way to deal with yellowing.

I remember my sister won a random barbie doll that seems to have been used before and had her hair into a big poofy ball standing up and tall .. she tried to fix it by doing exactly everything she was not supposed to do .. it got worse . then she shaved the whole hair off just recently we found the doll again with 98% of its hair gone and we'll it went to the trash xD .
