I am doing a 100% restoration and remodel on my mansion that was purchased for $7,000. Part of the restoration and remodel is the addition of an underground movie theatre. Today I am working on re-lowering the job site's water table, and digging out more of the underground movie theatre.

thanks cole, capillary action brings the water higher than the elevation where it becomes a creek or it is being pumped out of the ground. Now that you have a lower drain at your movie theater level you might not need an additional drain around the outside of the original mansion, but put one in around the addition. free advice from a civil engineer.

COLE DEFINITELY PUT A HEAVY SCREEN WIRE COVER OVER THE END OF YOUR DRAINAGE PIPE WHERE IT EXITS INTO THE CREEK!!!!! Because if you don't in the dry months rodents will burrow in the pipe and clog it up ! Probably wouldn't hurt to put an above ground 6" clean out pipe that goes into a T which joins your perforated pipe. Such as sewer pipes have for running an rotor router auger in to bore out clogs. Just in case you ever get a stop up you can clean it out from above. U would just have to flag it with a caution pole in the field so tractor 🚜 planters didn't disturb the clean out pipe. But this would most certainly save you a huge headache dealing with having to dig up the pipe in future for a Clog up. But most certainly put a heavy stainless steel rodent proof wire over end of your drainage pipe where it's gonna dump into the creek ! Because animals will crawl inside it whether to burrow or exploration. If a raccoon 🦝 crawls up that pipe looking for food gets stuck and dies then there's a big water obstruction to back the water up. Something to really consider

Cole you really should dig a temp sump pit for this water. We do this in heavy construction all the time when we are diggin deep pits. Wherever the bottom of you trench is going to be, dig like 3-5' deeper in 1 spot, grab a stick of 24" or 36" HDPE pipe and stick it up out of the sump, backfill around it with stone. Toss in a submersible pump and boom, you are lowering your water table until your project is done.

Network TV would mean giving up creative control and having to answer to executives and producers. Maybe if you do something like Alton Brown and produce everything yourself and basically just provide content to a media outlet, they can work on network syndication. Then again, you start to lose control of revenue streams and there is alot of profit sharing.

You may want to add a manhole outside of the theater to provide access to the drain pipe. 500 ' or so of pipe with the starting end around 20' down could be a real headache if it gets plugged up. Also probably a bad idea to drive rebar through the pipe to hold it in place, one more thing for stuff to potentially hang up on.

Drawings, measurements etc. of all the 'stuff' you are burying is so important for keeping you out of trouble in the future. I was wondering if you can use the equipment that you use to map your fields to map the house construction site? The accuracy you have with that system could be invaluable.

Great to have wonderful friends, like Ron & Roman! This must be a huge area with the amount of time it takes to dig it out. I’m flabbergasted at the plans in place! It’s all so exciting & interesting! TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
