That was monumental work. Congratulations 🏆 35 minutes to show months and thousands if dollars worth of work. " Bob's yet Uncle" indeed ! Watching all your vids from Hillsboro NH. 73 year old retired master technician with Mercedes Benz and BMW.👍👍

Keep up the great work ! One other thing, your young right now, get help when lifting heavy items. Don't mess your back up. Don't end up like me. Please ! Sincerely, Jim.

I feel for you my friend. I bought a basket case 1939 B about 7 years ago now and just in the last year (2021) I really made an effort to complete an almost total restoration of it. I am now in the seven to eight thousand dollar range and I have yet to drive it. I figure I will have a total of around nine thousand dollars in it. Two thousand in just the engine. I am into it to the point I could never sell it for what I have in it so I must finish it. Good luck with yours...

thanks. You'r right, it is not economical to restore and sell these tractors. I probably should have parted this one out. But is obviously too late. I still need to find a set of tires for it.

Great job young man FYI and you already probably know this the fly wheel has a timing mark on it let her stamp V in addition to be in the timing of the engine it is the counterweight for the crankshaft the opposite side of the crankshaft where the clutch is attaches also has a ladder stand V and it is a counter weight for the crankshaft just thought I’d throw that in there he did a great job

The trick when using silicone is to tighten down until you are lightly touching the silicone with the entire surface and let it cure for at least a few hours preferably a day then tighten down to spec (recommended torque)

im about to buy a jd b myself do you know the best websites to go for parts/questions
@thesmallenginekid2 жыл бұрын
I suggest buying a service manual on eBay or probably Amazon. For parts Steiner has pretty much all you need. If you need cheaper used parts Rusty Acres Ranch (vintagetractors.com) parts out a lot of B’s.

What do you do with the tractors after fixing
@thesmallenginekid Жыл бұрын
I would love to have a farm to use them! I do drive them down the street, go to tractor pulls, and local parades. I sold a Farmall C that is being used in Guatamala now.
