The first time I went to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, they used several Mk1 Focus RS as course cars. Can't quite believe that was 21 years ago, 2003.

Auto Alex's e30 touring is complete. The opel manta is complete. The e30 baur is complete. Paul's e30 m3 is complete and not even on the channel yet. Red mini is complete (just need to edit final episode). Red e24 is complete and the red porsche would be complete but they sent me the incorrect rear quarter panel. All these are on our channel

Opel manta, e30 baur, e30 touring, mini, red e24 all done and on the channel. Also we have done 6 episodes on an e30 m3 but not released them yet. That car is already complete and back to the customer... I released this because I'm waiting on a rear quarter from porsche for the red porsche

For as little mileage this car has done it's quite severely rusted! I can still remember that when the focus came out it was really praised for its handling and its performance engines. Hard to believe it's getting this old now.

@@user-9996 considering my oh- so- rust prone 1993 Vauxhall Astra doesn't look this bad at a far higher mileage I think it does. However I think that crappy rust protection on new cars isn't as much a big deal as people make it. Adding rust protection yourself is fairly easy and not even expensive. Highly recommend this for everyone.

From my experience of these, being the better half of Sabre 🤪 it’s usually the higher mileage ones that are used pretty much as daily drivers which fair better corrosion wise. The ones that stand still, especially in not so dry environments, really dont do well. This ine is actually really good in all the usual places these tend to go, bar a whole in the near side outer sill and some surface corrosion.

@@PaulShepherd-cms you probably have a point there! I have seen a good deal of museum- piece like cars with tiny mileage and so on, that just kind of fell apart when put into use again, mechanically mostly. This is why I stayed away from old cars with too low a mileage when I got mine.

we did have them in Australia from 2010 - 2017 but because the of the new emissions laws it made them very unprofitable to build so 2017 was the last models made

It had a wider body kit, limited slip diff, brembo brakes, Oz racing wheels, upgraded suspension and a 2.0L turbocharged petrol zeta engine with 212hp. Only available in imperial blue and only 4500 were made 2000 of which went to the UK. Around 70% of the parts were specific to the RS unlike the ST170 which was a regular focus with a bodykit brakes and more power
