I love what Atila says at the end "We didn't have money falling out of pockets we restored the car because we had the desire to restore the car" ❤

Another beautiful restoration of a rare Canadian muscle car. Atilla is one of reasons that the Ottawa Valley has a rich history in hot-rodding.

Amazing! How he did that is beyond my comprehension. Needless to say, I've never seen a Beaumont here. I loved the 1968 Chevelle. This beauty is indeed rare and wonderful to see.

What an awesome interview and car! Attila told me once about his SD Beaumont, but I never got to see in person. As for the man, even dough I’ve known about Attila since the 90’s from his racing exploits and reputation, I never took the time to talked to him till we were at the second annual Wayne Young memorial at Luskville. Since then, I got a chance to talk to him a few times…. All I have to say, he really is a cool guy and definitely one of our local street legends. 5 stars again Max!

I owned a 1968 Beaumont Custom in 1973, 327 4 barrel carb, auto trans. One of the best cars I’ve owned. A Beaumont is a Pontiac just like the Camaro was made by Chevrolet and the Firebird made by Pontiac. Chevelle by Chevrolet and Pontiac wanted to compete and made the Beaumont.

Nice car, reminds me of back in the day. There was one of these in a local junkyard. I touched the car and the only thing missing was an engine. It originally had a big block as the headers were still under the hood. They ended up at my house that day, but stoopid me left the car there. Yet another classic that slipped through my hands, but back then a Nova is what I wanted. I eventually ended up with 8 Novas, counting the one I am restoring now! Oh well...........

@@Eldude350 haha nice story. I'm glad you went the nova route more than anyone in the world I'm sure... But yeah that Beaumont would have been nice too. Hey at least we get to race each other when the novas are done one day 😎

Love the beginning talk mentioned parts of the manufacturer history. Is there more to uncove. The talk at the end was wholesome. I'm a business consumer, so stuff like that needs a podcast. The podcast is coming, I small it.

Beautiful restoration. Nothing better than keeping it stock looking. I've always been fascinated with Canadian cars. You very rarely see a Canadian car in the States. Excellent looking car, kudos to the owner 👍

It’s not a Canadian car. It was designed and built by United States engineers and manufacturer. GM gave it a different name to promote it to Canadian customers. Most all Canadian versions of GM vehicles are stripped down versions with less trim because GM knew Canadian customers really didn’t deserve nice things because of how they talk about America. The painful reality is if Canada didn’t have American car engineers they would be driving all of the extremely weak and mundane vehicles that Canada has produced and then they would cry even harder then they do now. write that down eh ? 🤣

It is a Canadian car because it was built in Canada by Canadians and not sold elsewhere.
