Yeah thats your answer to everything :) hehe love calinda's thank god you got the original T27. they are expensive for what they are. but hell they sound good in calindas ! they are sweaaat sounding speakers, a true true English laid back sound with deep lows and nice sparkling tops

Personally, I'd have begged/borrowed/stolen a router and some roundover cutters to add a small radius to the edges of the replacement MDF cover, and a slightly bigger radius on the speaker holes in it. This just helps break up the hard outline of the speaker hole edges when the sunlight hits it, and I feel it adds a slightly more finished look. Also, MDF soaks up spray paint like your average Glaswegian can soak up whisky ( :D ). It's always a good idea to hit MDF with a can of sealer before spraying it, or black paint usually ends up looking like a patchy charcoal colour until you've spent 4x more on extra cans of paint and time than a single can of sealer would have cost. Apart from that, brilliant job there mate. They may still not look 100% factory fresh, but considering how bad they were when you got them it's an absolutely stunning transformation !

Great, thanks. I have to refinish mine as there is some staining up top and my sanding should be considerably easier than yours. I notice my grills are glued and not stapled. How were the gaps between the grills and the speakers. Finally, I notice that yours like mine, have a little more staining on the top of the side faces. Could you have sanded it a little bit more or do you think the stains will always bleed through a bit?

Hello I have speakers Calinda. I openned my speakers, Is it normal that the woofers are not wired ? Have good day
@AldoSpadaroOfficial4 ай бұрын
True, the bottom woofers are the so called 'passive' woofers and they just mirror what goes on in the top woofer. Cheers,

2:51- 3:12 The sander is actually "in-key" to the song in the background, it "hums the tonic" ;)

Yep, the pitch of the machine hovers around an A, so we make it the lead instrument in our rock track!

Can you tell me what kind of cable I need for the Calinda's?
@AldoSpadaroOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Depends on you wishes and budget. The internal wiring should be standard as comes with the drivers. Speakercable isn't too critical either, but you can go overboard with that as well. Some nice banana plugs for good connection and nice slightly thick speaker cable will do. Cheers!

@@AldoSpadaroOfficial I'm sorry, I don't know the subject very well. I lost the cable for the back of my Calinda SP 1053 and am looking for a replacement ...
@AldoSpadaroOfficial4 жыл бұрын
@@thomasbock997 For the back there's just the connection. It doesn't need or have it's own cable. Just a speaker cable from any audio shop will do. Let me know

@@AldoSpadaroOfficial First of all, thanks for the quick answers! But what do you mean by 'speaker cable'? A normal 3,5 mm plug doesn't fit
@AldoSpadaroOfficial4 жыл бұрын
@@thomasbock997 It's not a 3,5mm plug. It's a speaker plug. The cable wire goes in it, and then into the Calinda. You can find them anywhere. Just type speaker plug in search engine and you see what I mean.

Try doing all of that ,with a loudspeaker of today .No change ,they fall apart. Great restoration .Where the woofers original B200 ? They looked so new ?The T27 you got are newer ones next gen. (you needed the ones with the wires sticking out )These : img.usaudiomart.com/uploads/large/1185947-vintage-tweeter-kef-t27-sp1032-cadenza-calinda-cantor-caprice-chorale-coda-concerto-corelli-cresta-1.jpg But I don't think the sound will change or difference much . I've got a couple of Cadenza's that are also painted white back in the late 70's early 80's :-( Thank you for uploading .A great and healthy 2020 Regards Kenneth John

Yep I know, but happened to have those around. Problem is that 1 already fails today. Rest was original, might give it 1 more go on technical restoration before #@$ them off. :)
