Fixed up a Technics SL-B10 A few months ago, a lot of cleaning, new belt, replacement cart/stylus. Was well worth it. Older p-mounts still perform well. Thanks for the vid.

Great video, I use dish soap and warm water with a toothbrush, works every time. Looking forward to the next part. I have seen Chinese made styli for sale on eBay. I felt they were far too cheap to be any good, so I avoided them. I will only buy the Japanese made styli directly from Japan through proxy websites. There you can still get new 'old' OEM stock or high quality equivalents made by Jico, Kowa or Nagaoka.

If you're ever stuck for a good stylus, you can contact me. I have had to buy in bulk in the past to get the one I wanted, so I might have something. You have helped me in the past with my queries, so it's FOC.

Do you "rinse" with plain water, after?

I find the quality about the same as you report. It is what it is. Cheap and cheerful. I would not buy them again. I use dawn with iso and then lemon lysol. The lysol lifts nicotine smell and the gross mildew smell. The tone arms composite material is very decent. Very decent turntable. I agree.

I always keep my turntables clean from grime and debris because otherwise that stuff just ends up on your records. Good reason to keep them clean.

I've had quite a few Audio Technica styli off centre right out of the box, doesn't seem to affect them.
