As replicas go, this is pretty good looking; looking forward to seeing how you clean up the irregular panel gaps and paint!

right now i am building same project. but i want mine to fit all parts in like the original.. all this rounds and wholes would not be my o.k. level. also i would not use Ferrari Logos on it... i am going to stick toyota logo on it.. make more people look confused ... ;-)

Lovely car, should have got it in Ferrari Red

I always found it a failing making them a replica rather than calling it a Ferrari kit MR2 and the faux badging really lets them down, it also does look best in silver rather than red and the wheels that would correctly suit it being a Ferrari kit Toyota, would be Azev A or Borbet A wheels as they are similar to a Ferrari 5 spoke, of course that's done correctly not fakely as a Ferrari KIT Toyota (see the testerossa kit E30 BMW for reference)

stupid to remove the T-Bar Roof Part... makes the car WEAK ! 2GR is the perfect engine for the project... also a 3VZ-FE supercharger by TRD would have been possible.. sounds great !

A surprisingly good replica. The MR2 MKII is a great car (and design) as well.

Where is it possible to purchase this kit

none of these companies are still in business, best to find a car that already has one and restore it.

Man that is so cool. My ferrari was done at TCS as well. My is 348 and I just put V6 in it. We should hang out sometime. Let me know if we can meet. I can get your info from TCS don't want to post on KZbin. I saw your their when I pick my up or you pick yours when I dropped my. Something like that lol.

@@Phatgolfr i see your car quite often around Clough and 8th Mile and I live around the area. I have a 2gr sw20 and saw TCS did your swap a few months ago.

Just came across your video. I have admired these replicas for a long time. Really pleased to see you have picked one up that looks solid. How did you find it? How much did the motor and installation cost? I live in Australia, and here labour costs for an engine swap type job are crazy!
@Phatgolfr7 ай бұрын
I found it on the facebook ferrari replica group. And luckily there is a small car shop in my city where all they do is swap MR2 engines, so i knew i would have local support to get the work done before i bought it.

I'm an ex fashion designer. I'd like to design something else. If you want to get someone to build a sports car, I can design the body for you, for free. I'm in the process of sketching it. Then you could sell it (?), or keep it for yourself.
