In this video, I compiled the whole restoration into 15 minutes! This was a ton of work and honestly, I filmed way more than I have uploaded on KZbin for this project. If you are interested on some how to videos related to f-body repairs, please comment below. I have plenty of those tips and tricks ready to edit and upload. I would be happy to share. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the video and as always, have a great day!

What a WONDERFUL job. You are a very talented guy. Love, love, love the paint! If you are actually planning on making more of these I have a request. I will never be able to do a complete project like this, but it would be great if you let us regular guys know what aftermarket parts you use and where you find them. It's an old saying but true. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! Great work you guys. Nicely done!

Thank you for the kind words and I will gladly share any information that will help anyone with there own vehicle. I bought the hood from VFN it’s called the smoothie que so far that’s the only real aftermarket part I can think of right away, but feel free to ask any questions about any part of these F-body cars. I’ve now been through almost every nut and bolt on them a few times so I’m happy to help make it easier for someone else.

How hard would a auto to manual transmission swap be?
@eyecandycreations7463
@eyecandycreations7463 2 жыл бұрын
@@stormlossing3345 I’ve never done one on one of these cars. Although this is my best guess to guide you there. Looking up some other threads of people that have would help as well. But I believe you would need the wiring harness for the transmission/ might be the engine harness. But I’m not sure about that. But that’s probably the worst part. I would guess you need the trans crossmember, pedal assembly, hydraulic slave cylinder with master, center console, maybe the Ecm. But I think everything will bolt right up on the car. Your best bet is to find a parts car or some junk yard exploring to collect all those parts. But it all depends on how much money and time a person wants to spend.

don't hold your breathe especially since the whole Pontiac line was discontinued. There is even talk about the Camaros getting the noose. I use to work for Pontiac and Trans Ams are my fav cars. I have an all orig, '98 ws9 and I get ppl, all of the time anting to buy it but they are getting more rare all of the time especially stock like mine. The prices and value are shooting upwards. You are better off to buy one now instead of waiting and hoping for them to be brought back as the chance is pretty much nill.

All I can say is Holy Bat shit. Idk how old u r young man but u got some skills. Alot of ppl are great at 1 thing. Great welding, painting, body work etc. Urr pretty dam good on all of it. No BS, cutting corners, 3 gallons of bondo and old tennis shoes to fill the holes, No shit I had a car like that, pulled on a string hanging down and out came a new balance, wrapped in plastic and shop rags. She looked good from the outside. I learned as a 18 yr old man to really look a vehicle over. They can look like a 10 but be a 2. I'm proud of what you have done. Always been a fan of the screaming chicken. Had a 87 trans am with a 327 chevy out of a 71 Corvette. With a 5 speed that thing would go 120 mph on interstate and rev at barely 1300 rpm. Had a hot cam and a 850 double pumper with mechanical secondaries. Miss that car. Keep up doing this work. There's money in the skills you have. Many ppl see a vehicle that gets totaled by a deer and just get another. Great video. Great car.

@@eyecandycreations7463 There's just something about those cars. I was never a Camaro fan of the late models, but tge older late 60s are nice. I don't like that Catfish look. lmao. I know it's not easy with a family. I have a few kids and between them and the wife it's hard to find time to do any wrenching. You did a great job. Please keep doing that and making videos showing it done. Alot of kids now days are to wrapped up in screens or video games. Every time I see a younger kid in a car that was made decades before their birth it makes me smile knowing they got some gas in their veins and grease under their nails. Newer vehicles are boring and quite ugly. From the beginning of the 20th century to about mid 70s cars had style, u could tell what it was by its design, now they all look blah. Yes the Demon, Vette, Camaro, Stang have serious power and some style, but every car had it then. Those guys like Earle and Shelby are gone but u can see their taste in the GM and Shelbys. Keep it up bud. Have a great weekend. Thank you.

The ride is smoother and it handles better. The power is so much more as there is really no comparison

Thank you for the kind words. it was and still is a huge challenge to find good parts. I still haven’t added the cost up but I have a rough idea and it’s a lot more than just buying a another one. But it’s something I wanted to do. I also really like that color a lot.

I don’t think I do. I could give tips on how to do it but I avoided it by just leaving it on there when I painted my car. It didn’t have the bubbling problems. Maybe I will go find one in a junk yard and make video for ya.

This is incredible. I'm restoring my '98, and I wish I had the time to let it get to this level. I'm restoring the undercarriage and engine bay, but a full bodywork/respray would be awesome. I love the hood, been considering swapping my ill-fitting and broken raptor for one of those, this may sell me on it.

Thank you and it took me about a year and a half to get it to this point. Just so you know on the VFN smoothie Q hood. It took a lot of effort to make it fit as well as it does. I love the look of it I just wish it would have fit easier. I’m a body Man by trade and this was the hardest hood I have ever made fit. But it may be different on your car. Sometimes they fit better on other cars. I wish you well and if you want any tips or tricks in the future let me know and I’m happy to share them.

@@spawnedin71 Thank you for the compliment. It took a long time to acquire the knowledge, tools and definitely the patience. I hope you enjoy the WSQ hood. I would be curious how much work it takes you to get it to fit properly. I had a hard time getting mine to fit the way it does.

@@eyecandycreations7463 Well, I'll find out when the body/paint shop calls me, lol......had it shipped directly there to save on freight. Supposedly it has all the instructions and also a number they can call if there are any issues.....but I have heard the same thing for a lot of aftermarket hoods in general.....

@@spawnedin71 ya that’s kinda the story with most aftermarket parts. You can still make them look nice but it takes work. Also some are just not useable but ya never know till you fit it all up. But that will look sweet on your car I’m sure.

@eyecandycreations7463
@eyecandycreations7463 Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I don’t currently have a video on the leaky t-tops yet however. I will do one. Mine were leaking before and they still have a slight leak that I haven’t had time to come back to yet. I l know there is a few aftermarket companies that make a kit for them. There is a ton of adjustments between the windows and the t-tops. Thanks for the input I will try to get some stuff together to make a video on that. I don’t have a time line for it but I will get on that for sure.
