Very interesting. Tough problems. It seems everywhere man goes he destroys what occurs naturally. Can't we just leave a few really important areas untouched, or are we just too greedy?

@@janellminton4296 Capitalism has destroyed the worlds ecology like no other force in history. Locals like you respect their homes and don't want to see them crumble, so who's making the decisions? Private institutions and a government which has historically existed only to serve those institutions. Americans need a future made by and for themselves and their neighbors, not a future dictated by those who just want to accumulate more wealth.

Actually erosion destroys the old deltas in Louisiana for the most part because they no longer recieve new sediment. The problem is the current delta is too close to the continental shelf and is not building up sediment.
