Puts a smile to my face when I see people restore cars, doesn't matter how they modify them or what car it is, I have a 84 vw mk1 rabbit Convertible, took a year to restore mine, but it's running and restored, some small interior pieces are cracked like the radio piece and the handbrake left side bolt is missing, but as long as my car gets to relive its glory days, its worth the drive

recently bought my first ever Honda, a pretty rough but good running 91 2dr Civic hatchback with the original (I think its a D15B2?) with a 4 speed manual. I've always had old 60s-70s Fords before, so working on these cars is new to me. I have questions...a lot of questions. 1. Cleaning carpet without taking it out and checking car body for rust inside the car? 2. Wheel discs painting isn't good at all. 3. Gear box painting? For what? 4. What's wrong with the hood? (why does it installed crookedly?) P.s. It's my first visit here, so I may not to know smth.
@ch1959Ай бұрын
He didn't paint the surface of the rotors that the pads touch, but yeah, this was kind of a sloppy spray paint everything kind of job. Not restoration; and I guarantee in a few years, lots of things will be flaking and look like shit. Especially the plastic parts he spray painted.
@TheREALOC1972Ай бұрын
It's a budget build giveaway car, noone's going to spend thousands of dollars on a give away car...... They also didn't paint the disc just the center hub. The hood isn't crooked it has risers on it to clear the new engine because the K motor is taller than the original.
@TheREALOC1972Ай бұрын
@@ch1959 It's good for now though, it's a giveaway car, noone is spending thousands of dollars just to give it away, when that paint starts to flake off that's on the new owner to fix, It's also not a car show, it's a daily driver project that someone can put a little bit of money into every week-month and work on it while they drive it.
