As a word of advice if you want to paint all the parts evenly and make it SEMA MAZDA Hall Of Fame edition, all parts depending on the place will pull them off regardless and I would suggest doing the same leaving them a part and just painting them separately. As a moderate enthusiast of personal dream builds, do not ever "skimp" even on the little things because later on you don't want to regret what you should have done. You have worked hard for all of this now, why let the best go to waste and make it a dream masterpiece of smeedia Hall Of Fame glory.

My dad did painting for years. You can do it either way. For what your doing it would be better to do it with the parts off vs on. Then you can do the inside of the doors and fenders leaving no silver. If you were doing a pattern or a color shift of any type then you are better to do it assembled. Hope that helps 😁

A smart man will admit they don’t know and learn. Being able to admit it takes a real man as it’s the hardest thing to do. This will be a fun drift car for sure. Turbo rotor. Makes sure when your painting white or silver or grey. Hold a lifht in your opposit hand you paint with and look for the flash. Otherwise you will be snowblind. White is hard to see when painting, and when you lay clear down the light is crucial. This is the part where I go suggest you watch sylvestor’s customs and watch his body work and, paint prep and paint videos. IV been a body guy for 15 years, and I’m 35, watched his videos and just the body panel alignment and level portion was amazing the way he takes new school and combines it with old school for amazing results. You will learn a ton from him. I did for sure. And your right in the meat of when those videos apply. .. with that said. Looks like you were doing pretty well laying the paint down, the speed and proficiency will come with time and as your confidence grows.

@Smeedia8 ай бұрын
This is what I’m thinking, feel Like it’ll be easier to focus on a single panel vs feeling rushed to try and do the whole car at once
@dubzstylerc95808 ай бұрын
Spraying the parts off the car you will find a lot easier for you to do. Just make sure that you spray them at the same angle as if you were spraying the car. This is more critical if the car was metallic but not essential being that it is a base colour. , if you spray the parts and the body of the car at the same time this will guarantee that the colour will be the same as opposed to spraying them separate and mixing paint separate for these parts and the body a slight difference of temperature all the mixing of paint could change the colour , another tip for you when painting wrap the air hose to the gun round your waist, hold with your left hand so the air house goes underneath your right arm round your back to your left hand your find this will become more natural as your painting and keeps the airline completely out of the way you find this lot easier way to paint
@Smeedia8 ай бұрын
I’ll try to do that with the hose, I’ve been tossing it over my shoulder but I tend to get tangled in it lol Will do, I’ll try and spray everything same day if possible or even around days that have similar temps and humidity 🫡
