This is a great idea, I love the main channel vids but I do sometimes wish we’d see more in depth how to’s and your processes that don’t always get filmed. Hopefully these videos are easier for you to make instead of the main channel “big productions” so we get more of these smaller scope videos in between!

South bend 9 is a solid ass little lathe. Has been around since ww2 Era If I remember correctly. If you ever dive into the machine you'll notice the lack of brass in it due to the fact of a large portion of them being made during that period.

Gotta be careful lubing the plastic sleeves that ride on the shock body. Lubricants trap and hold dirt. Your essentially creating a lapping compound between the sleeve and the body. I personally would just try to keep them as clean as possible. Either way its coming along great!
