Just do what we call framing the kx. Tear it down grease and replace the bearings service the suspension fix the wheels rebuild the motor put green plastics on it and ride. Do stock graphics that seat is really nice its a oem 99 seat. The kx won't be as good as your current bike and there's no reason to do a build on it stock would be good enough for you. I ride 450s mainly but do prefer a 250 2 stroke for woods riding.

Just for something different it would be sweet to see an all electric build on the pit bike or heck even on the kx250 and do a shootout between it and a stark varge to see if it’s better to build it or buy it when it comes to EV

The 181 acres near me sold, but there is 124 acres for sale, I know Tennessee is a little further than you were wanting, but the price is not crazy for how many acres there are. Also, there are a few houses with 20-50 acres in the area that also have unattached shops. It’s in the country, in the south, country folks like building shops for many of their houses. Furthermore, there is no restrictions on how riding or building, and you’d be 20-25 minutes from a 2,500 acre off road park called Turkey Bay which is right across the Kentucky state line from me. I’m maybe 30 minutes from the park myself.

My best deals 03 YZ250 2 stroke with title. Put a $100 top end in it and she was mint. 99 CR250 2 stroke with title and tons of aftermarket parts. Put a ton of money into it, frame up rebuild 86 TRX250r with aftermarket parts ran perfect $1000 97 Banshee with 370 long rod, was rough condition but ran perfect. $200!

Once you get your current projects finished, have you ever thought about getting a Honda TRX700xx? I just bought one about a week ago and would really like some good videos of someone wrenching on one of those machines. There are currently very few videos that show how to work on those 700xx Hondas.

If you like the KX stuff and do anything trail wise you should check out the KDX 200 in the future. E and H series are awesome. I have a 94 and previously has a 92 and they’re so much fun

1999 kx250! Best year they made. That 1851 cylinder on the 98 and 99 is a monster. I've got 2 of them in my collection. I need that stock seat cover for one of them. Lol

For the kx you should do a nice retro restoration with purple graphics and the rm you should do the same with some 96 rm style graphics

Mike, if I were you I would do the bottom end right away too because they dont make cases anymore. But I did just see theres a company thats gonna be coming out with billet cases soon! PS I sold my KX 450😢

There's a Finnish guy I watch and his videos are just of him and his bro ripping around on their dirt bikes. The smallest bikes that both of them own are a KX80 and CR85, he also has an RM80 that needs a refresh. So I wouldn't say the RM65 would be too small to rip around on for giggles. He also has some 125's and some 250's but his two biggest machines are his KX500 and Quadzilla 500. His videos have no bs and are just crispy braaps. I'd say if you were to do a theme for the KX250 make it all Kawi green and go with a purple seat along with modern retro graphics in a similar purple like those seen on early 90's bikes. Don't burn yourself out with too many projects. As much as I knocked him in the past I started watching 2vintage more often in recent months. He still has his moments but he has gotten a lot better since I last originally watched him. So I at least have him to watch fixing some clapped out junker in between your builds. There's also LUNDMX but he doesn't seem to post that often. As far as property goes look for something in a rural area with farms around. You're less likely to have issues with HOA bs and whiney people. Especially if neighbors are few and far between.

I have a 99 kx250 as well and it needs completely redone but the engine has 40hrs on a full top and bottom end rebuild. I had a 01 kx250 for years there in my opinion one of the best year sets for any 250 2 stroke. 99-02 is the same bike.

they share a lot with the 110s so all the pit bike stuff can transfer over! main reason for all the after market parts

Although I absolutely love your full builds and I’m still amazed at how you do them and produce your unbelievable videos. I think I would also like more simple builds where you just basically spruce up the bike kind of like we would in our garages. The timeframe would be a little shorter and the video might be a little easier to put together. anyway just a thought…
