Restoring and Repairing Two Old TVs, From Japan and From South Korea, Which One is More Complicated?

This video summarizes the process of repairing our two vintage TVs, one is a Samsung TV from South Korea and another is a Panasonic TV from Japan. First, we repaired the Samsung TV, model 359 R, a popular television in the 1980s. This black and white TV had an almost new outer shell, but inside it was covered in dirt and rust. The repair process took a long time, but we managed to turn on the TV. However, some signal receivers seemed not to be working well, so we couldn't receive any channels. Maybe it's because VHF and UHF signals are no longer supported nowadays.
The next TV we repaired was the Panasonic TV from Japan, which appeared newer and had colors. The repair process went smoothly, and the TV could display images. Of course, it cannot compare to modern TVs today, but it was a great feeling to relive the past.

I visited Japan a few years ago and was surprised to learn that tube TV's are still very common there due to their cheap price. Good work on the restoration. I do not think anyone else likely would have taken the time to try to save such an old TV.

Looks like you left the job half way on the Panasonic, that's clearly having vertical foldover, all you had to do was replace the pump up capacitor near the vertical IC

SS 359r ,Đèn muỗi mờ, chuyển đầu dương đốt tim (H)12v sang tụ lọc nguồn cầu nắn 16,5v, bật tắt máy vài lần xong trả về cũ,muỗi săn tít sáng đẹp!

Looks like the tv was submerged at the bottom of the ocean than washed up ashore where all the dirt dried up
