Restoring and Tinting Glass Headlights

Join us as we attempt a repair on a set of damaged "unobtainium" glass headlights.
We will also add a dash of our own styling to the lights while we are at it :-)

Bake them in the oven between 135°-150° for about 10-15 minutes and you can almost pull them apart by hand, May need a screwdriver to get it started. I just pulled the glass off of one of mine with a pocket screwdriver and no heat and didn't damage anything. Different manufacturers use different adhesives. The oven does work!!!

Hey thanks for this my man. Working on a 1991 accord and kept blowing pass headlight. Turns out the seal went out surrounding the glass. Popped them both off and redid the seals and I'm on my way. Only costed ten bucks (and a new set of lights of course). Cheers

I didn’t even know glass headlights were complete relics of the past until I watched a different video comparing halogen and LED bulbs. I think I hate LEDs. They’re ugly and hurt my eyes. I wish we had more options available. At least glass headlights don’t get as foggy and filmy and are more innate (I wonder how the plastic reacts to the light and heat from the bulbs over time).
