This really makes sense. Not many doctors have an understanding about it. Would you be able to make a video showing some techniques on how to improve bloodflow to the brain for the many sufferers who are in agony?? I know this is too much to ask for. I also understand that every individual's case may vary and that treatment has to be personalised, but as many doctors don't have adequate understanding of the issue, so many people won't get any help. So this is a sincere request on behalf of the sufferers......please show some exercises that one can do at home. Thank you

I totally understand the spirit of this question. It’s hard to give an answer that would be successful for all the people that have these symptoms. Using exercise as a model you may consider starting with the simplest version that you can do consistently and gently and steadily working up from there. This will work for some people, but not others as it doesn’t provide a specific answer for what is ailing them. So what we do know is that activating, neurons and improving circulation seem to have positive effects on cerebral blood flow and neurovascular coupling. You have my sincerest hope that you will improve and feel better. Thanks for reaching out and the best of luck.

Remarkable! This video is literally the definition of giving someone their life back; you can really see how the wrong diagnostic procedures for a patient like this would've likely resulted in continual decline in health. Keep em' coming doc! 👊 Just wanted to add that I've prepared that document we discussed via email, I was just wondering whether you would prefer if I sent it across to you via email? Thanks Nate

Doc keiser how did you restore blood flow?
@dockeiser
@dockeiser Жыл бұрын
@@mariannesmiley300 In this case we worked to improve baroreceptor sensitivity so the discrepancy between laying down and standing up could be detected more precisely and quickly. When the receptor sensitivity improved the response from the integrated motor reflexes is in line with better blood flow responses. Thanks for the question!

How do u improve the blood flow for the elevator dropping and bouncing floor feeling it's so annoying it happens when i stand up from a sitting position
@dockeiser
@dockeiser Жыл бұрын
Good question. For this type of a phenomenology we are thinking about the relationships of blood flow and vestibular integration. In other words, is you brain accurately predicting and detecting changes in head position. From there, is it able to accurately convert that into signals that shunt blood against gravity appropriately. In these cases we tend to see a trend toward impairments in this vestibular relationship. Hope that helps!

What are some examples of neuro rehab exercises that someone can do?
@dockeiser
@dockeiser Жыл бұрын
In this case we used a progressive tilt therapy with lower body peripheral nerve stimulation. That was coupled with additional otolithic stimulation. This approach is not applicable in all cases, but was appropriate based on the problem we had to solve. Thank you so much for the question. If you would like more dialogue, you can reach out and set up a time for a call. Take care.

Thanks for the video doc K! I have a question in mind but I think I first need to watch all your videos here in YT and I might find some answers there. I just 'binge-watched' your instagram videos and I actually have even more questions haha. The whole topic on functional neurology and kind of rehab you are doing is really fascinating. For an amateur brain-nerd like myself. Anyway, I am curious about the tests you use to determine how various reflexes work. Can these test moves in any way (or is some cases) also be used as training tools? like you use some movement / transition to test and then use the same one to train to improve the function? And if there are instances when this can be done, can they be used as a kind of 'brain training' just for prevention or health improvement purposes in general? I imagine that there is a portion of brain strength or full range of function loss which we can attribute to our lifestyle, like more sedentary, less variety of movement, working with screens and little devices which fixes head position and our posture, stress in different forms which over-activates the sympathetic responses etc... Sorry for the length of this one and I hope it makes sense! PS.. I'm not a bot.

This is a wonderful question. Many of the therapeutic exercises we use began as tests and measurement techniques. Sometimes if there is a fundamental error in the program we can’t just keep repeating a poor program and expect it to improve so we have to use a different mechanism. One example would be someone who has a hard time pursuing a target with their eyes. Doing more may result in being really good at poor execution. But using a vestibuloocular reflex which is also a retinal slip mechanism can retrain the pursuit. There are many examples like this that we have found to be valuable in patient care over the years. Thanks for the great question!

How on earth did you increase the blood flow?!
@dockeiser
@dockeiser Жыл бұрын
Great question- depends on why it’s low to start with. Is the brain misallocating, are the responses delayed/latent, is it not able to generate effective constriction in vessel walls, is it not interpreting orthostasis effectively, is Baroreceptor sensation delayed, inaccurate, hyperresponsive… etc. each of these may have a different answer that would affect blood delivery to the brain. We would work to solve each one differently. We use primarily neuro rehabilitation techniques to retrain the brain to be effective at the task again.

Hi David, cerebral blood flow velocity testing is a great tool for finding the root cause of symptoms like yours. It’s also part of a bigger investigation into multiple body systems to look at how everything interacts together. Thanks so much for the comment and let us know if you need any further resources to help you on your recovery

You call this a case study without providing any information about the case, presenting symptoms, patient demographic, not even your actual intervention. You make no reference to anyone who is actually doing work in this area. You call yourself a "doctor" of.. chiropractic neurology? People like you make it harder for people suffering, like me, to find reliable, actionable information. You make the world a worse place to live in.

This is a response with a lot of vitriol. In the first 13 seconds, we describe that this is a case of orthostatic tachycardia. then went on to discuss the thesis of the importance of looking at cerebral blood flow rather than simply tachycardia in cases like this. Cases of orthostatic tachycardia. To illustrate that point demographics and symptoms are superfluous to the point of the video. The purpose “to illustrate an example was defined in the opening” Sorry to see you are suffering so much. Hope you find what you are looking for.
