12/18/2022. You were cleaning the copper pot but you forgot to tell us the name of the products you are using😕🇺🇸. I have Revere pans from the 1960’s. COPPER GLOW did a spectacular job BUT it has been discontinued. There is not much left in the can. BAR KEEPERS FRIEND. Is what is to take its place. I am not happy for the change in product. My pans and the Dutch oven look like new and I want to keep them shiny. I enjoy cooking with then. I’d appreciate your next video show your audience what you are using👒👒😊😊 A side note to your audience the all around cleaner for the kitchen and stainless steel is BON AMI❤️❤️ French for ?? GOOD FRIEND in English? Made in USA. 14 ounces or 397 grams I don’t represent them I an sharing a product I have used for many years👒👒 I use to use COMET cleanser. It was to strong on my hands. Awaiting your next video for an update.

Thanks Sean! I don’t cook much myself but I love the care and craftsmanship put into the making of quality tools back before the industrial revolution. Wow Sean I just realized you had a YT channel. Amazing stuff. My ex wife’s brother taught himself how to re tin copper for the posh families and restaurants in New York City and Boston. Made himself a great life at it. Surprising the work you can do with a little tin on a stick and a propane wok burner. He also seasoned cast iron.

I love all the copper pots but my passion is old enamelware.. I cleaned up a really dirty enamel casserole pot the other day and used a tip I saw somewhere, that was to mix fairy dish soap with baking soda to make a paste then take a piece of tin foil crumpled up and it is amazing, and not too abrasive.. Gxx

Sean m'dear... Zabaglione is an Italian dessert made with egg yolks, sugar and a touch of cognac or Marsala. It needs a slow even heat as you constantly whip the mixture. Beautiful copper collection you have there. Thanks xxx
@Seans_World
@Seans_World 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there Moira Yes you are correct it is an Italian dessert, made with this pot. It is much favoured over a double boiler as you have the ability to whisk due to shape and remove the zagbaglione from the pot warming the water as to required the control heat, so you don't end up with scrambled eggs. Stay safe best wishes Sean

Tell us how to look after the tin surface cleaning and cooking please...
@Seans_World
@Seans_World 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Judi The tin surface is fairly easy to look after, any stubborn or stuck on food can be soaked away with soapy water. Tin has great non stick properties and will darken naturally with age and use. Don't clean with abrasive materials as this will shorten its lifespan, or exceed a temperature of 450 degrees f when cooking in an oven as tin melts above this mark. Stay safe best wishes Sean

Sean have you tried a French product called Popote. There is one for furniture and another for bronze and copper. I inherited a huge copper jam pan and it hadn't been cleaned in 30 years, the popote cleaned it great and it doesn't affect the patina as it's not abrasive.

Extremely interesting learning about your copperware. Thank you for explaining each pot's specific purpose. Some of them look so odd that I would not be able to guess what food matched with which pot. I recall old copper Jello molds which hung on our kitchen wall. Maybe they originated from the 1950's? Are they truly copper or have I been fooled all these years? Your kitchen looks adorable and cozy. Keep the videos coming!
