In this video I restore the rear end of my JDM BMW E30.

Subframe, trailing arms, suspension and the anti-roll system are all removed, improved and installed in this video. I am trying to restore my 1991 BMW 320i to the best of my ability and this was my swing at the foundation of the rear end. Utilizing as man OEM parts while upgrading in areas I think needed it leave me with the setup you see in this video. New finishes, new bushings, new suspension, reinforcement everywhere and stronger moving parts are all here and I can't wait to get the wheels back on this car and see how everything feels. This video should at as a decent guide if you are planning on taking on a similar task. Let's save all these cars Much love.

Not necessary with spherical or poly/Delrin type of bushings with the separate inner metal sleeve, that can rotate freely. That advice only applies to rubber bushings that have a bonded sleeve that cannot freely rotate.

@@Patrick94GSR The question would be, what type of bushing do those Koni have? If rubber, then it needs to be torqued with the car on the ground.
@Patrick94GSR
@Patrick94GSR Ай бұрын
@@lukathegarlic well yeah, if it's a bonded sleeve then torque at ride height. But I think that's the only bushing that may have that issue. The others shown in the video can freely rotate and so do not need to be preloaded at ride height.
