That's nicer than mine. I tell people all the time. Get an older table saw and upgrade parts. The base is better than anything you buy today without spending a ton. Mine has the outfeed motor. I cleaned it up. Bought a new motor. You can upgrade to 2 and 3hp. Then I bought a new fence. The fence is where it's at. I went with the shop fox. It was much cheaper and accurate as anything else if you set it up. Has all the adjustments you need. Then you have more money for other tools. The delta cabinet saw will cost you a good penny but it has the same motor as a table top. These old saws are amazing. They just need some upgrades.

Beautiful video. I was given an old table saw that needs refurbishment and this video helped give me a lot of ideas. Enjoy making new memories on yours!

That rip fence looks just like the Exact-I-Rip I got with my Craftsman contractor series saw. Very nice & precise. T-slots are so handy for jigs, patterns etc.

Sorry for your loss, mate. I think your Grandfather would be proud of the job you did! 👌🏾 Had to chuckle when that wheel hit the ground, oops. 😆

Thanks Bill. I was in a state of confusion haha. Completely missed the wheel

Fantastic video. Fantastic result! Gave me that "a HA!" moment too on how to remove rust on large surfaces!!!!

Good Job. Hope it gives you many years of enjoyment. I think you'll find a single edge razor blade works better than a screwdriver to clean gunk off a metal surface.

I can hear your grand-dad saying Well Done!!! I can also hear him saying never push wood on a table saw with your hand, use a push stick!!!
@MarkSusak4 жыл бұрын
thank you for the kind words. i agree with the push stick. can't use the saw without all 10 digits!

It would have been EXTREMELY HELPFUL IF HE HAD SAID WHAT HE WAS USING. The video itself won't help me restore my classic Craftsmans table saw.

Degreaser, vinegar, variety of coarse pads and a lot of time. I hope your craftsman comes out looking new! It’s super rewarding such a good feeling
