A nice overview of techniques and tools for photo restoration, thank you! I also like how you chose to use software to do the narration :) Uncanny touch! I would have used a non-lossy format like PNG or TIFF instead of the lossy JPEG format, though understand the reasoning for doing so.

this wasnt AI - it was a photoshop replacement...cool, but not AI in the expected sense

Actually, ai was used to bring the faces into focus.

Use the same tool I used in the video to get rid of spots. Just paint over the scratches. Be sure you make the brush width slightly larger than the scratches.

photopea.com or GIMP are free tools you can use. Photoshop is the best tool that is subscription-based.

@@natmcksmith Thank you for replying Sir. I don't have laptop or desktop and I am looking for AI tool vut I think no Ai tool available which can repair torn photos or remove scratches then a manual human can do with Photoshop. Ai is failing in that Regard

A thought. I haven't tried this, but Photopea.com is a browser based tool. It might work on a phone or tablet.

Yes, I use Remini, and it's great. So is tencentarc/gfpgan and Codeformer. PicWish does a great job, too! Topaz PhotoAI is awesome. Photoshop's neural filters do a great job. So many good tools to work with.
