Paseo is such a pleasant name to say!! And yes, best not to leave acetone on ponies lol. Acetone soaks are a method of shrinking vinyl doll heads actually!

one of my favorite thing about a lot of the variant ponies was how far between the eyes they brought the hair, remind me of real ponies with lots of hair and it hangs on their face. These look like that to me.

Great work as usual 😍 You're right about the Bumblebee, for me the Symbole looks more like Butterflies. Like someone commented earlier hummelchen is a tiny Bumblebee but funfact: Hümmelchen with the ü can also be a musicinstrument a sackpipe and in some parts in Germany it's a little knife (it's a really old word for that) German is such a weird language sometimes 😅

My cat also likes to jump up on my desk and if he sees coffee he will "sweep" his paws around the table (knocking things over) (I think he doesn't like the smell). I was actually just down the rabbithole on the MLP wiki and checked your channel to see if you'd restored any of the Lil' Litters / My Little Kitty/Puppy/Bunny toys and then saw you posted! Nice :) Pretty Paseo, I love the variant ponies.

Hello! I am your fan since you started your channel and I just wanted to say I love your work! You're so talented! Watching your videos helped me to take better care of my ponies. When I was a little kid I believed that every toy was concious and alive, now I realize that this is probally not true but I like to imagine that the ponies are happy for being restored (or customized) especially by someone as talented as you! Sorry if my english had many mistakes, I'm Brazilian and I'm not fluent :p

I would like to see you try using baking soda. You just need to put like a spoon of baking soda, then add some boiling water (you just need a little bit) and try to make something like a paste. I don't how it would perform on ponies, but for dolls it amazing. I always use it. It makes them feel like brand new and removes all the dirt. If you want I can send you some pictures on Instagram.

One would call a bumble bee "die Hummel" in german, "Hummelchen" is the cutsy version one would use in children stories to make it sound extra sweet, like a nickname for the "Hummel", and "das Hümmelchen" is a kind of a small bagpiepe. To be honest, even as a german myself I never heard the word "Hümmelchen" and had to look it up, and stumbled over the sentence you read. The word refers to the type of bagpipe, not the word trim, wich was used to describe its size. One could translate the word trim to all kinds of german words wich have nothing to do wich each other, but in this case it was used to describe the smaller then usual size of the "Hümmelchen". But why they called the pony "Hummelchen", even though the symbols are clearly butterflys, wich would mean "Schmetterling" in german, remains a mystery 😄🐝🦋

Or a pony made into a goat! Love your videos!

I love watching your videos, so calming watching you wash and paint! I was wondering if you have any tips for simply washing ponies (or just point me to a video!)? I have a ton of ponies that have been lovingly played and are fairly dirty, and some of them could use a hair wash and restyle as well. I want to ensure it's pony-safe, but I don't want to take the pony apart (remove the head), so basically just surface level cleaning (maybe slightly more intensive methods for stains).

FYI - If you have a dremel, with a cutting disc, you can make your own hair punching needles out of any sewing needles. I work on full sized doll and do a lot of hair punching, and I needed on with a longer side then the other. If you have a dremel it is cheaper to make your own punching needles.

Tomy's a cutie. When Paseo met Tomy this is what I was thinking. Paseo: My name's Paseo, what's your's? Tomy: -sniffs Paseo's "cutie mark"- It's Tomy. I need to go now though.

As a nail tech, acetone goes straight through nitrile gloves, so use latex if you are not allergic. Have you thought of using a nail drill for sanding/shaping when you rebuilt or repair parts of the ponies?
@Just1Nora6 ай бұрын
I can't say this with any certainty, but I'd imagine that Paseo means the pose. She is trotting along, so stroll makes perfect sense to be the name of the pose. Or perhaps they took the name from the pose, or because the light green color plus butterflies reminds one of a stroll through a spring garden. I'm just guessing with no facts to back this up, though. It's interesting how the other languages all use the shape of the rump stamp to name the pony, but Argentina went, "Naaaah...this is OUR version and we'll color and name it what we like!" 😂
@catulusinferni86123 ай бұрын
I looked it up: of course Hummelchen or Hummel means bumblebee (Hummelchen is a cute-zy nickname für Hummel, meaning "little bumblebee" or "cute bumblebee"). Hümmel is the name of a city and Hümmelchen is a smaller bagpipe instument and a little knive. Both words come from an old middle european word for "shorted" or "shortening". So a Hümmelchen is a shorter bagpipe or a shorter knive. BUT germans have the tendency to replace a, u or o with ä, ü or ö if adding the suffix -chen or -lein. So as an example the word for boy is Junge. A little boy could be a Jungchen or Junglein (but this one we don't use). But we would say Jüngelchen or Jünglein (but both words are used in a derogatory fashion nowadays, so don't call people "Jüngelchen" ^^). Same goes for coffee: Kaffee -> Käffchen. Or cat: Katze -> Kätzchen. But then... a Katzchen doesn't exist and a Kaffchen would be a humorous word for a small, boring village... Anymay: if you would say Hümmelchen, most people not familiar with the instrument or not from the region where this word is used for a short knive would automatically identify this word as Hummelchen - bumblebee.

Yes "Hummelchen" is the german word for "Bumble Bee" , but the cuter version. "Hummel" is the normal version, everything with: "Chen" in the ending is a cute version but dont work for everything. Greetings from Germany :)

Sorry if this is a weird place to comment. But I'm very anxiously planning to try reharing one of my beloved Sailor Moon dolls I loved a little too much as a kid, and her hair is falling out. She'll need completely new hair, hers is broken and in a horrible state. I wanted to know the following, if you or anybody here might have advice: What's the difference between nylon or acrylic hair? I'm unsure what type of hair I should choose. I have no idea what the difference is. I know you mentioned it in a video, I've seen pretty much all your Pony videos...and I can't remember where I've seen this specific tidbit of information xDD I don't know how well you'll be able to answer this question, but how do you know which rehairing needles are the right size? I assume my dolls have smaller hairing holes than My Little Ponies based on their sizes. Is there some way to tell what a good size might be, or do you just have to try a few and see what works? Thank you for the resources in your description too! I was going to try and get the rehairing set there, but it says the shop is currently on a break, so I may have to find something elsewhere. But all the resources are a huge help and gives me a good starting point! I really appreciate you putting this stuff out there!! (I'm also planning to give my 1st gen Peachy MLP a tail soon! It was somehow lost when my sister played with her as a kid and I don't have a clue where it went...I plan to fix it using the methods I've seen in your videos and am excited about that!)
