That looks great ! Faded older plastics can be painted. Fenders , side covers , even fuel tanks . Color matched at an auto paint store . A non painted, polished will just get scratched again when I ride it 😎👍🇺🇸

Honestly the best video/tutorial to restore old and sun faded plastic parts. Another nice thing is that you went deep into the explanation for other cases and possible solutions. 💪

do you think i can do this with atv fender (yamaha raptor 700) with a electric sander and a drill for the polishing??
@PrymeMX9 ай бұрын
We haven’t tested it on something that large, so can’t say for sure. The problem with using a drill for polishing is it may not have enough power to get the job done. We’ve seen videos here on KZbin showing other methods for ATV fenders though.

Hi, I have an old electric buffer I like to use and I only have a wool pad. I find with plastic I don’t get quite the shine I want. Would a foam pad yield better results? What type of plastic polish do you recommend? I usually use PlastX or just carnuba based wax

Is there a certain RPM that the bench motor runs? Are those a special type of wheels specifically for plastics?
@PrymeMX3 ай бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video! The wheels are designed for polishing plastics. They can be used on any machine that runs at 3600 RPM, which is most bench grinders and buffers. More info can be found here www.prymemx.com/collections/plasticpolishing

Hello, to remove some contamination on a plastic trim I had polish the surface. Do you know how can I now restore the "satin" tone of the plastic?
@PrymeMX3 ай бұрын
You could try using a very fine scotch brite pad by hand to dull the surface. The finest color of scotch brite is white. Try it on a small area before doing the entire part.

I can get excellent results using color matched paints. Removing , thinning the old plastic not good. Faded plastic is best painted. No joke my restorations are like perfect and are repaired easy.but it’s also takes some skill, sanding , polishing paints .
