I have Picture Pocket Christie from my childhood, she needs some work too. She was very loved, that's all I can say! Lol! 😂 I have restored a Totally Hair doll as well and I know the struggle of detangling long Kanekalon!! It can be a nightmare! Great restoration!! ❤

I love your dolls. For long, severely tangled doll hair, I use thick conditioner and a wide-toothed comb. This shortens the detangling process by a lot. I also hold the hair firmly near the scalp as I comb out so there is way less hair loss. Then I thoroughly rinse that back out, dry under a fan and then boil wash if needed. Never use leave-in conditioner as this will attract dirt and weigh the hair down. ❤

Im having a hard time with curlers and the ENDS of the hair, gahh, I read in another comment on a different video to use perm rod papers for the ends, but I like the straw idea, I use pipe cleaners but now have half the ends ending up straight or bent 😮 Soo annoying!

I also love rescuing dolls and either restoring them to their former glory or using them for customs. I have a few favorite thrift finds including Apple White (EAH), Angel of Joy Barbie, Junior High Poppy, and Emi Vanda. Most of them I'm just restoring but Apple White _needs_ to be customized because she has terrible glue seepage (definitely needs new hair), her eyes are misprinted high on the face mold, and she is on the verge of a neck peg catastrophe so I'm planning on fixing it with some Apoxie Sculpt. Dollightful has a great video on how to fix them.

I have to do this to another 90s doll I found Thrifting Tara Lynn. Just got her a Made to Move body. Her body is wrecked, but her head is still in nice condition. I think she would display well with my other Made to Moves.

Wanted to let you know your videos saved me from shaving one of my Barbie’s head, for some reason her hair had some kind of weird product in it, and it would not come out with just a regular wash, but I did a lot of repeated washes like you do after I had to apply goo gone into her hair, and managed to save her hair, it’s so soft and clean now and no more gross goop in her hair
