Nah, Hugh said you have 48 hours to unlock it or I open an eBay case which is reasonable but not necessary in the first message! If the seller isn't responding or said I can't unlock it for you, you can say that, no problem.
@Chrisp707-
@Chrisp707- 3 жыл бұрын
@@samdarius3305 it was needed because the seller stated that the phone was removed from the icloud. But it wasn't. So in the instance he was perfectly in the right to do that because at that point the seller basically committed what is known as false advertisement.

@@Chrisp707- I see your point and for that reason, Hugh would've won that eBay case for sure! It's just that when you mention it in the first message, It puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the seller. Having a little patience is the right thing to do in my opinion, but if the seller isn't responding or can't help, That's the way to go!

the comparison for ease of repair between iphone and other brands is normally in the screen replacement. with iphone you take the screen off and transfer a couple things if not just one, with a samsung you have to take the back off and transfer everything he just did in the video just to fix a screen unless you have the tools to seperate the glass from the body of the phone. its rediculous
@brandulak

@@matthowe2703 not true. There's a video on Hugh's channel where he bought 2 identical iphones and tried to exchange some parts between them. Everything, including screen was software locked and lost half of it's functionality after the replacement.

Hey Hugh! you can get rid of battery warning message by simply replacing battery vmr chip of the orignal battery into the replacement one by removing the insulation tape and cutting of the chip but you have to be careful not to bend the flux cables. You do need micro welding machine to weld it to the replacement battery... I know it's tricky n long shot but I would love to see you doing this experiment in your next video.

@@0w3nn yeah, to get rid of those messages you need to be a highly skilled board tech. You need to transferred the ic from the display flex over to the new screen, that makes the non genuine display message go away, you would need to transfer the bms board and spot weld it to the nickel contacts under the polyamide tape to remove the battery message. And the dot projector seems to just need a new crystal.

I wonder if HJ could make a complete iPhone from nothing, from just buying new and used parts? I'd love to see that, those 120 little screws and 1.5 mm rubber rings, the springs, that little plug so important for the SIM card operation. I'm sure he could, but it would be a great challenge and a brilliant video.

Amazing repair as always. But I have one question for you. I have seen many people copy the screen serial from the old screen to the new screen in order to preserve true tone functionality. In cases where the display is badly damaged, you can still use 3utools to get all the serial numbers of each iphone part including the screen's. Why diddn't you try doing that for the screen or any of the other parts that were not working like face id? Please reply :)

It’s crazy how Apple claims their trying to lower their contribution to “E-Waste” but yet here they are with the iPhone 11 Pro with 50+ screws 10+ metal Shields, don’t even get me started on the 12. The amount of metal alone within that phone isn’t worth the money they price their repairs at, then the MSRP rate for iPhones is a whole different discussion of F U from Apple itself. locking the idea of third party repair with serial branded parts???? That’s a very clear message to consumers. If Steve Jobs was alive. That company would’ve taken such a better turn. Samsung doesn’t even care for third party repairs they proved that just from their latest device disassembly alone and how easy it is let alone your not locked out by software/Hardware RPL. And before anyone comes commenting research it, Hugh even has stated some information on these things in previous videos.
