This is a great series of videos and much appreciated. I’m on my second viewing as a reminder before I tackle some suspension issues. I won’t be alone in saying how sad I am that Bearmach never managed to reopen: it was a real loss for Land Rover owners.

Lovely to see what steps I'll have to look out for when I get around to doing the same job! I'd recommend engine degreaser like gunk for cleaning down surfaces, I've started is Ng it recently and it's as good if not better than petrol! 😁

Thanks Dylan, glad you’ll find it useful. I do like Gunk too but it’s hard to get hold of at the moment with lock-down, also find it frustrating to use, then hose off then wait to dry. White spirits are so cheap too! Been using it more and more, just hope the paints agree with it now!

Another great and interesting video - wnen i did my series three i went with parabolic springs - a much nice ride in my opinion...well done for getting to 2k...

Thank you Christopher! I was torn with the idea of going parabolic but wanted to avoid a lift in ride height in case the Land Rover wouldn’t fit into my garage!

Hi love your videos, did you manage to find out if the spring brackets are meant to be solid or see through. I can’t find an answer anywhere. Thanks!
@restosaga2 жыл бұрын
I never managed to poke a screwdriver the whole way through so my guess is solid. The only way to know would be to blast them I think! Thanks for watching!

Needs to be a lot cleaner than that before paint

Thankfully the paint is still in good condition so I must have got away with it.

Interesting video. Why do you have a disc handbrake?
@restosaga4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I fancied the upgrade really. It’s a lot stronger than the original and less prone to fouling with water or oil. Easier to adjust too. All round it made sense. Holds amazingly on steep inclines which I could never get the original to do!
