I'm glad I found this a couple worker gave me his bow for free it's the same one you are working on. It needs new string as well. I may try and have it put back together. Thank you for the video

I just got a Buck master Lite at a garage sale for $10. It needs an arrow rest and a sight and a trigger release. And arrows. But for 10 bucks I didn't think I could go wrong as it's the first bow I've had in over 50 years

this video made me take mine to my local pro shop to get tuned and restrung. (It's 20 years old, I haven't shot it in 8 years and it still had the factory string). The first thing he said was "You know this is going to cost more to restring than it is worth right". LOL! Plus of course I picked the busy season to do it. so I will get it back in about three weeks.

What did it end up costing to restoring it? I've been wondering. I've owned mine for years but got it used. I never shot it. Was going to give it a try soon.

My first bow was a Bear Flare II. I graduated from that to a Buckmaster PWC. Next to my current Mathews Vertix, that PWC was my absolute favorite bow I ever owned. Wish I'd never gotten rid of it. I've been tempted to buy a used one and restore it just for the nostalgia of it.

This bow was my third bow...my first was an old bear kids bow ...it was red. 2nd was a 40lb bow I can't remember the brand...i was 11 or 12 😂 and my first real bow was the original Jennings buckmaster...ive killed quite a few bucks with it...easton 2117 arrows. Damn those were the days. Currently have a high country speed pro 2 have had it since new and have been browsing for my next one thinking goin back bear.

I owned a Jennings air master 2000. And a buckmaster 2000 at the same time. I loved both of them they were great bows for the price. I am pretty sure I paid around $250 a piece for them new stripped. They were not very fast bows but very accurate. Good luck finding a bow today sub 500 dollars that would shoot with them.

i have one of these bows and my arrow is nowhere near 90degrees in order for it to not slam the arrow into the rest and flop through the air. i took it to a bow shop twice and they couldnt figure it out. limbs dont seem to be cracking. only thing i can figure is the limbs are out of adjustment and one is moving faster than the other? if so, my question is do i just tighten the limbs all the way down and back them off to the correct lbs for me ?

I like to see and hear your commentary on all the processes you did . Considering I have the same bow. One question I have , on my bow. The limb bolts , that attach the limbs to the riser , are backed out so that there is a 1/4" to 3/8 " gap between the riser and the limbs. At the bolt/screws. And my bow is approx 36" from axle to axle. If I tighten the bolts down tight , will that increase the bows poundage ?

My name is Rob. You have impressed me with your knowledge on bows while I watched this video. I purchased my Jennings Arrow star Mark 2 back in either 1978 or 1979 with the weight of 55 -70 lbs. I hunted with it for a few seasons and afterwards I had to parked it in my closet for many years. I'm looking to get back in to shooting this heavy bow once again and I'm unable to find the owner's manual that came with the bow to set it back up correctly. This bow is in very good condition. Even the strings looks like it's in very good condition but because of the age I will be replacing it. When the Shooting Star by Jennings came out with the narrow SS cam's, they were supposed to be a little smoother and faster, so I had them installed on my Arrow Star Mark 2. I would like to know what arrow rest you would suggest I use for this bow and any info you might have for getting it tuned back up correctly would be greatly appreciated. I thank you much for your help.

Hello All, I have this bow and I would like my son to use it. I need to redo it. I need to lessen the draw weight. It's 65lbs right now. Can anyone help me get a copy of the manual? What's the range for the limbs? Could I lower it 50 or 55? Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

I have a question on my 1990 Ben Pearson target bow. I have tuned it forty eleven ways. I shot a vertical group about 1.5" wide from 30-70 yds. The arrows lined up to about 7" in height, but vertically they are good. At 80-110 yds. they start drifting to the left. A 80 yd. It shoots 8-10", 90 yd. 13-16" 100 yr. 18-22". All to the left. My form is the same for all distances. I make a small adjustment on my peep sight view at 80-110 yds. Do older bows have a tendency to drift the arrow at longer distances? Oh, do newer bows shoot perfectly vertical from 20-110 yds? Thanks, Gary.

I am new to all this and I got one of these used, I noticed Behind the adjustment bolt where the arms connect, there's a plastic piece that I noticed is broken and the other is missing. What are those plastic "blocks" called and are they necessary? It looks like it's for decorative purposes. I'm wondering if it's safe to shoot. Eventually I will take it to a shop if it's worth it. Also needs restrung. I may just pitch it and buy an X8 Dragon.
