I go to the gym with a 90 yr old woman who does cold showers and she is in super shape. Definitely worth a couple minutes discomfort

Great idea, spent all your willpower for jumping in a cold tube early morning instead of spending it at something meaningful. When you dont go thru uncomfortable situations during your daily live to train your discipline Iam really happy for you having such a wonderful job and family.

Hey bro, just found your channel and I really like it, and it's now in my circle of fitness channels I watch. I am a new trainer, and there seems to be so many sources saying "Do 'A', not 'B'" while another camp says "Don't do 'A', do 'B'", and then an entire other group say "scratch all that, what's really important is C". Lots of this stuff is just so nitty and gritty and is usually arguing over minute details, while most people seem to agree on how to progress someone and what the pros and cons that come with them. I just wanted to see what you would focus on as a new trainer? Especially on the basics on identifying a problem and making a path to correct that problem while on the path to a bigger picture. Love your vids and hope to see you catch the algorithm
@NathanaelMorton9 ай бұрын
As a new trainer, I think it's really important to train as many people as possible. There's nothing that teaches you what works and what doesn't better than working with in-person clients. Also I'm sure you know this, but starting with the end in mind (their goals) and reverse engineering from there (what's the path to achieve those goals) and then learning as much as possible along the way. Also - you must do all of this yourself. As a trainer who has been on the side of 'I can do everything I want the client to do' and also 'I'm so out of shape so do as I say, not as I do', it's always much more credible when a trainer not only knows his stuff, but applies it to himself too.

Hey man, love the video I’ve been a subscriber for quite sometime. I’ve done vertical jump training for a long time now for about three years. I went from barely touching 9 feet to Dunkin 10 ft.³ barely. My question for you is I want to join the military and I heard CrossFit is a good program to follow to get fit for the military and I was wondering if I keep on doing max effort jumps with the CrossFit will I continue to increase my vertical?
@NathanaelMorton9 ай бұрын
What's up brother! Yes, 100%. Just keep in mind the nature of (certain) CrossFit events and the nature of vertical jump training. Olympic Lifts obviously add to explosiveness while a 500m row won't help much. So be sure to do the max effort jumps when you are fresh and not fatigued after a full CrossFit workout.

For decreasing inflammation in those areas, yes. But for all of the other benefits like increased metabolism, dopamine, etc - nope.

If done immediately AFTER a strength/hypertrophy training session, within 4 hours of that workout. I explain it all here 😁

I watched the whole thing, you say that it won’t affect plyometric type exercises, but I’ve seen numerous videos saying I can reduce bounciness if done after a plyometric workout
