What’s the difference between drop and depth jumps

Depth Jumps are deeper knee bend, longer ground contact time. The goal is to jump off of the ground as HIGH as possible. Drop Jumps are shorter ground contact time and the goal is to get off of the ground as FAST as possible.

So 305cm is a regular hoop. I started ballin at 9y/o. We had 260cm hoops. So tried touching, then dunking, then crazy dunking. I was literally trying to get elbow above that rim. We also had one like 290. Was trying to hang on that. I was 12 when touched regular 10ft hoop. 13 hanged on it. 14.5 at around 6ft2 started dunking. Before even 15 y/o was doing baseline reverse. Then developed jumpers knee, realllyyy hurt, so instead of being one leg jumper, learnt to dunk of 2. Was dunking kobes 360 or its more like 270 before age of 16. Did few Vince Carter 360 the with the clock, but its tough. So just trying to touch, also competitiveness vs teammates who can dunk and what dunks helped. I did a bit of plyos, the calf raises, definitely helped. Being 6ft4 bare foot, and 6ft6 wing span, highest i touched was elbow above the rim. I had around 38 or so ish vert. Never lifted.
