Solid proof that waxing frames helps. I always run a few foundationless frames with starter strips so that I can get some comb honey. Last year they capped them in no time at all. This drought year they just don't want to finish them up. Like you were saying, still getting honey but they are being picky.

The black plastic foundation will warp in the sun in just a few minutes of exposure. It probably wasn't that way way when you installed it. Waxing is 100% better. 👍❤🐝

Great video, thanks for you efforts. Did the foundation have any wax from the manufacturer before you added your own wax? The foundation bend when they don't have enough space to stand up stright, ie top bar and bottom bar is to close together or the slot is not deep/wide enough for the foundation to fit into.

This foundation was all “waxed”. I’m trying to show that coating is insufficient. Those sheets were all straight in the frames when I installed them. Another viewer suggested the black comb may have warped from the heat as I set the video up.

True. Thanks for reminding me of that. That brand of foundation might be a bit tight. I don’t use it regularly.
